General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, June 30, reveals that Cassius Faison aka “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) tried to make a getaway with James West (Gary James Fuller).
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also made a disturbing discovery, so here’s how Tuesday’s GH episode went down.
At Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) hideout, Cassius turned his gun on Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) to force Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) to drop his own weapon.
Once Joe put it down and kicked it aside, Cassius used his gun to knock Joe out.
Cassius then aimed at Sidwell, who suggested they could be partners and that he’d make it worth his while if Cassius helped him flee Port Charles.
Although Cassius knew he should probably just shoot Sidwell, he allowed him to leave – though he refused to let him take Joe’s weapon.
As for Ezra, Cassius told him to stay with Joe until he woke up and help him.
Ezra was tempted to just leave after Cassius took off, but he indeed stuck around to call an ambulance since Joe had a head wound.
After Cassius looked at some pics of James on his phone, he removed the card from inside it and broke it up.
Meanwhile, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) took James to the batting cages, where they kept waiting and waiting for “Nathan.”
James assumed “Nathan” was off cracking a case or hunting down the bad guys.
Once “Nathan” showed up, Cody’s phone started working after being soggy for a while.
Cody stepped aside to check his messages, which gave “Nathan” a chance to suggest to James that they should give Cody a break and get out of there.
It became obvious that Cassius was ready to kidnap his nephew right as Cody listened to Felicia Scorpio’s (Kristina Wagner) voicemail about keeping “Nathan” and James apart.
Cody looked up to see “Nathan” trying to take off with James and looked alarmed.
At the Metro Court pool, Nina caught up with Ava Jerome (Maura West), who was annoyed over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) forcing her to use a nearby Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) as a bodyguard.
Once Ethan took Ava back to the gallery, ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) arrived to grill Ava about her involvement with Sidwell.
Suddenly, Sidwell barged in after getting his hands on a new gun, so he quickly became the one in charge.
At Turning Woods, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) restrained Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to the bed and put a mask over his face to give him poisonous gas.
Brennan started struggling and trying to scream for help, so Cullum admitted he suspected Brennan might be faking his locked-in syndrome.
Now Cullum was ready to leave Port Charles and assumed whatever was in the black box would be a good insurance policy.
Once Cullum put th gase tank by Brennan and left him for dead, the life slowly drained out of him.
Nina showed up with a burger for Brennan and was alarmed to see him in distress.
In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) insisted she wanted Gio out of his grandfather’s house since Sidwell was after Sonny.
After Sonny called Gio and left the decision in his hands, Gio made it clear that he wouldn’t abandon Sonny despite the risks.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) summoned Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who found out about Cullum trying to have Charlotte kidnapped.
Carly was determined to break in Wyndemere right away, but she refused to let Charlotte and Danny go with her.
Charlotte offered up some tips on how to navigate the place without getting busted.
Before Carly headed out, she pushed Danny and Charlotte to get in touch with Sonny if they didn’t hear back from her by 8:00 p.m.
Once Charlotte and Danny were alone, they seemed ready to go against Carly’s wishes and be her backup.
After Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) completed the prototype, she delivered the news to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as she was thrown back into their shared captivity space.
Josslyn was upset since she’d previously wanted Obrecht to stall and sabotage things.
Liesl and Josslyn wound up arguing over the kind of man Cassius was before they agreed they need to work together to get out of there.
General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn and Obrecht will put a new plan in motion soon, so don’t miss all the action.
