General Hospital Tuesday, May 19 Recap: Valentin’s France Trip to Break Out Anna

General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, May 19, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made a risky decision while Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) delivered a shocker to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Here’s how all Tuesday’s drama went down.

At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright), she wasn’t sure Valentin’s idea to create a cover story for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was the right call since they didn’t know for sure Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) was the one who sent her away.

Carly remained concerned about Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) before Valentin took a phone call from an associate who’d been monitoring Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Once Valentin found out Anna was being transferred to a facility for the criminally insane, he declared that he was going to France to break her out.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Rocco tried desperately to convince Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) that it was too dangerous to break in Wyndemere.

Rocco mentioned Cullum’s name at one point and had to cover when Danny and Charlotte questioned him.

Although Rocco once again threatened to rat Danny and Charlotte out if went through with this, they stood their ground.

Danny insisted Rocco wouldn’t snitch since that’s not what a brother would do.

At home, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) got some comfort from Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) over Anna’s situation.

Rocco’s arrival interrupted them, so Emma made herself scarce while Gio spoke with his distraught younger sibling.

Rocco sought Gio’s help as he hinted about Danny and Charlotte doing something stupid.

Although Rocco also alluded to his own mess, he ultimately backpedaled and decided he was wrong to come there.

Gio pushed for details, Rocco eventually decided Gio couldn’t help and left after pushing for his silence.

Emma reconvened with Gio, who made it clear that he’d let Rocco down before and wouldn’t do it again.

In the apartment above Charlie’s Pub, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) got ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) to admit that if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) were strangers, she’d prosecute based on the facts of the police report.

However, Justine acknowledged that she knew what Jordan had been through and was wary of making things worse for her by going after Curtis.

At the police station, Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) wasn’t sure he was going to be a good fit at the PCPD if this was the kind of place where people looked the other way.

Dante assured Joe that wasn’t how he did things and convinced him not to turn in his resignation.

Joe had followed proper procedure when he arrested Curtis, so now whether the case moved forward was up to Justine.

In the interrogation room, Curtis explained what happened to Jordan and downplayed Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) hand injury.

Jordan ultimately posted Curtis’ bail and took him home with reassurance since she didn’t think Justine would move forward with the case.

Back with Gio, he showed up at the police station and alerted Dante to Rocco being in trouble.

At Wyndemere, Cullum spoke to Sidwell about his belief that Danny may have shot him before Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) covered it up.

Although Cullum hinted about killing Danny, Sidwell tried to steer him away from creating such a scandalous mess.

Britt told Cullum that she was 24 hours away from the prototype going online and demanded her medication before she left for the evening.

Before Cullum injected Britt, he wanted to know why she lied about Jason shooting him.

Charlotte and Danny eavesdropped as they watched through a nearby window.

Britt acknowledged that she was unconscious when the shooting happened, but she implied it couldn’t have been anyone else since Jason was the only other person on the pier.

Britt also wished Jason had shot Cullum twice and finished the job.

Cullum almost didn’t give Britt her meds and threatened to keep her on site overnight, but Sidwell smoothed things over.

Britt got her medication and headed off to GH, where Rocco barged in her office.

Rocco blurted out that Danny and Charlotte were breaking in Wyndemere, so Britt looked alarmed over the news.

Back at the castle, Danny and Charlotte slipped in undetected at first.

Charlotte and Danny planned to take pictures of whatever was going on in the sub-basement lab since they heard Cullum talk about it.

Before Danny and Charlotte could get too far, Cullum spotted them and offered an evil glare.

General Hospital spoilers say Charlotte and Danny will deal with more danger than they bargained for, so stay tuned.
