General Hospital Wednesday, August 12 Recap: Trina & Kai Offer to Go Public Against Willow, Michael’s Better Idea

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, August 12, reveals that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) stepped up for Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and offered to help take Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) down. Here’s how all the excitement played out in Port Charles.

After Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) urged Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) to see that he was protecting her by keeping her away from Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), she sulked by the pool.

Once Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) got a pep talk from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) regarding his own family drama, he met up with Scout during his shift as a pool attendant.

That led to Rocco timing Scout’s laps before she pushed him in the pool during a playful moment together.

At the Metro Court Gardens, Drew met with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and spoke about his desire to fight for some of Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) valuable assets.

Drew saw this as an opportunity to marginalize Sonny and intended to take advantage of it.

Back at Sonny’s house, he talked to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) about Drew’s interest in the auction and the threat he posed.

Ric downplayed things, but he became alarmed over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) leaving the mob since it also meant leaving Sonny vulnerable.

Sonny pushed Ric to replace Jason as the person who was always straight with him, so Ric seemed willing to do that.

Ric also learned Sonny planned on following Jason out of the mob and using Sidwell’s assets to go more legit.

Now Sonny needed guidance on how to come out on top and thwart Drew.

Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) filled Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in on her meeting with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), who mentioned that he helped save her life and pushed for advice regarding Sidwell’s holdings.

Jordan reflected on how much she loved the work and the paycheck during her time with Sidwell, even if she was secretly trying to dig up dirt.

Now Jordan hoped to use the knowledge she’d acquired and find more success on this corporate path.

Curtis hoped that the jury would find him not guilty so that they could try to move on from the night of the crash.

Based on Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) latest test results, he had good news to share with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

The tendons in Isaiah’s hand were healing nicely, so that brought some hope that Isaiah’s surgical career could get back on track.

Isaiah still wanted Curtis to pay, but Portia was torn. If Curtis was found not guilty, Portia knew he’d work to push Isaiah out of the baby’s life.

That said, Portia knew it was best for her children if Curtis remained a free man, so she seemingly wanted a not guilty verdict for Trina and Desmond Ashford’s (Desmond Ashford’s (Yirah Aviah Lafond) sake.

Once Curtis’ verdict was in, Isaiah got a phone call about it while Martin informed Curtis at the Metro Court Gardens.

It was time for Curtis and everyone else to learn the trial’s outcome.

After Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) witnessed Willow blowing up at Michael over all the drug drama, he brought Trina and Kai up to speed at Bobbie’s.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael denied the drugging fiasco and offered to let Willow have extra days with the kids while she cooled off.

Michael tried to work the family angle and suggested Willow needed to see that peace was best for the children.

Once Willow returned to Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) penthouse, she found out Nina missed an important meeting because Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) disappeared and didn’t inform her of anything.

Since Jacinda had suddenly bolted out of the blue, Willow and Nina obviously suspected it was because of the drugging.

Willow gloated about Michael caving in and felt like she had all the power now, but Nina was wary.

If Willow and Michael couldn’t achieve real peace, Nina worried something tragic could happen.

Willow stood her ground and insisted that although she’d still allow Michael to see Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sienna Goerisch), he’d have to play by her rules.

Trina and Kai made their way to the Quartermaine mansion after getting Gio’s scoop on Wednesday’s GH episode.

That led to Kai and Trina offering a way to help Michael stop Willow.

Trina and Kai explained that they were certain Willow was Drew’s shooter since they were in the house when it happened.

Michael found out Kai and Trina heard Willow’s ringtone for Wiley that night and later put it together when they heard that ringtone at the courthouse.

Kai and Trina were willing to go public against Willow, but Michael said that wouldn’t be necessary.

Michael added that he had a better way to get what they all wanted.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow and Michael’s hostility will come with more twists and turns, so stay tuned.
