General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, August 26, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) spied a heated moment between Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
Things also took a nasty turn as Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) delivered some shocking news to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), so here’s how Wednesday’s GH drama played out.
In Willow’s office, she complained to Nina about Brennan and played the recording she made to hold over him.
Nina ordered Willow to delete it, but Willow refused to give up her blackmail material since her future with her kids was on the line.
At the Metro Court Gardens, Brennan met with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to pump her for information about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) ordeal and her Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) fixation.
Felicia wasn’t willing to spill anything, but Brennan implied that the WSB could make her talk if they wanted to.
Afterward, Felicia griped to Carly in her office later and brought her up to speed on what happened.
Since Felicia was curious about Carly and Brennan’s breakup, Carly blamed it on Jack recruiting Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to the WSB.
Jossyln also paid Carly a visit to let her know she’d decided to honor Jasper “Jax” Jacks (last played by Ingo Rademcaher) wishes and accept the CEO position.
Carly was suspicious of the sudden turnaround and realized the WSB was involved, but she ultimately agreed to let Josslyn make her own decisions.
At the Metro Court pool, Josslyn caught up with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner).
After Josslyn revealed her WSB leave and CEO career change, she faced confusion and questions.
Trina spoke with Josslyn alone and wondered if the WSB would even allow this, so Joss used their “popcorn” code to let her know she couldn’t go into the details.
Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) got better acquainted with Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) following some volunteer work at a free clinic.
Tristan talked about getting out of the WSB and seemed willing to cut Brennan some slack since he was still stuck making tough choices in the bureau.
Over with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), he met with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and reassured her about his intentions regarding Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) as well as Aurora.
Drew made it clear that he wasn’t trying to cause trouble at the company and that his attention was on other things.
As for Nina, she confronted Brennan since he’d threatened Willow earlier.
Nina pushed Brennan to give Willow the leverage she needed against Michael, but Brennan once again called her out for enabling her daughter.
Brennan insisted that Willow would eventually destroy Nina and wouldn’t share a single tear when it happened – at least not a real one!
In the end, Nina loudly ordered Brennan to get Willow what she needed or Brennan would be the only person destroyed.
Carly arrived in time to hear Nina threaten Jack, so she witnessed her meltdown along with Jordan, Drew, Isaiah and Tristan.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, he urged Michael to watch out for Drew now that he was back at Aurora.
Sonny assumed Drew would use the people he loved to go after him.
Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) also cornered Michael in private to share a secret.
Michael was taken aback to learn Donna invited ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) to the barbecue since she made Sonny smile.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) explained the situation with the signed affidavits for Michael.
Kai also confessed that he thought Willow had tried to kill Drew a second time with the lake fiasco.
Since Willow had been tossing threats around, Kai feared she’d try to pin the shooting on him and make trouble for Trina as well.
Alexis pointed out that Willow could be locked up for perjury if she tried to take Kai and Trina down now.
Since Alexis had Trina and Kai’s info about the shooting in her notes from months ago, she could help protect them.
Alexis eventually barged in Willow’s office and announced that she’d known for months that Willow shot Drew.
Since Alexis wasn’t willing to stay silent anymore, she suggested it was time for the truth to come out.
Willow insisted Alexis couldn’t do that, but Alexis fired back with a “watch me” and left Congresswoman Cain looking nervous.
