General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) is gearing up for a brief hiatus. The show will offer an excuse to send Tracy off canvas for a bit, so let’s discuss what’s in store.
Of course, we should point out that Tracy has some other drama coming up in Port Charles first.
Tracy will team up with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) on a plot that’s set to cause serious problems for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Since Tracy is tangled up in Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) marriage mess and wants to help her score primary Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton) custody, she’ll be around long enough to deal with that this autumn.
However, fall preview spoilers point to Tracy exiting Port Charles for a while sooner or later.
Let’s look at what GH Co-Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten had to say in their most recent interview with TV Insider.
“Tracy asks Gio and Emma to help hold down the fort when she goes out of town to assist a family member in trouble,” Van Etten and Korte teased.
The part about Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) holding down the fort while Tracy is gone means it’s a temporary thing.
Tracy will seemingly just have some fires to put out elsewhere. The question is: Which family member will Tracy have to go rescue?
It’s possible that the show will invent some crisis for Tracy’s son, Dillon Quartermaine (last played by Robert Palmer Watkins).
Dillon might land in some legal trouble outside the country and require Tracy’s assistance or something along those lines.
Then again, maybe it could be Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard) who needs help instead.
Ethan may not be a blood relative, but he’s still family in a way since he’s Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) son and Tracy still feels stepmotherly toward him.
It’s also possible Brook Lynn will run with Phoebe once the bio dad surfaces.
Tracy might chase after Brook Lynn if she fears her granddaughter is about to become a target, so that’s an option to keep in mind.
Any of those possibilities could lead to Tracy going off-screen temporarily.
Even if we eventually see some of Tracy’s out-of-town drama, it still seems likely that Jane Elliot will get a brief break through her PC departure first.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Jane Elliot and Tracy will be back, so that’s the good news to remember!
