The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Eric Forrester (John McCook) just made his couture comeback at Forrester Creations with a fashion show and a post-event interview.
However, some B&B fans are calling for Eric’s retirement on social media since his designs were lackluster and he created such a spectacle in the aftermath.
In B&B’s July 20 episode, Eric’s designs hit the runway, but they arguably didn’t seem very special despite the Forresters patting him on the back.
If this was supposed to be some mind-blowing return to Forrester couture, then Eric failed to achieve anything noteworthy.
Those boring gowns may quickly be forgotten, especially since Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) will get started on her next collaboration with Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) soon.
That could give Logan even more buzz and leave the Forresters’ work looking stale.
Eric already handed Logan free publicity when he took the interviewer’s bait and went on a tirade against Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) fashion house.
Eric no doubt wanted to make Katie and all her team players look bad, but he might’ve looked even worse in that moment.
Instead of keeping the focus on Forrester Creations and their newest offerings, Eric let his desire to trash the Logans take over.
Although Eric didn’t make any kind comments, he still generated interest in Logan and kept their name in the news.
Plus, Eric seemed like some cranky old man who perhaps needs to be put out to pasture after all!
Of course, the Spencers have problems of their own – like Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and his inability to control his aggressive outbursts.
Even so, that doesn’t change the fact that Eric’s designs leave a lot to be desired AND he clearly doesn’t know how to rein it in when he’s giving a post-fashion show interview.
Some viewers feel like Eric’s mental state might even be headed downhill, but it was a disastrous interview regardless.
