The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some family drama is on the way in Genoa City.
Some fierce faceoffs are sure to break out in the coming months, so it’s a good idea to be prepared for all the hostility.
Warm family moments are common on the CBS soap, but so are family showdowns!
At least three mother-daughter duos seem to be on the verge of letting conflict erupt, so let’s talk about them.
1) Ashley and Abby
For starters, Y&R spoilers say Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) will find themselves in agreement on something.
Will Ashley side with Devon in his anger over Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) not getting a real prison punishment?
Ashley might agree that Devon’s outrage is justified, particularly if they end up reacting to news about Mariah’s official release.
If Ashley lands in Devon’s corner and gets him even more riled up, it could certainly lead to some clashing with Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway).
Abby has already been upset over Devon’s issues, so she may lash out at Ashley if she feels like her mom has made them even worse.
2) Victoria and Claire
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will inevitably deal with some problems of their own thanks to Victoria’s growing bond with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Kyle and Victoria are headed for a messy romantic entanglement, so you can bet Claire will blow up at her mother down the road.
Claire may not be a couple with Kyle anymore, but she’ll surely still consider it a betrayal once Victoria kisses him or maybe even hits the sheets with him!
3) Phyllis and Summer
Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) aren’t on good terms thanks to the whole Newman takeover fiasco, but the conflict is being kept to a minimum.
With Summer icing Phyllis out and living all the way in Milan, there’s not a lot of true fighting going on.
However, that could change if the show finally follows through on recasting Summer and lets her return to Genoa City.
That could give Summer a chance to feud with Phyllis in person, especially since she’ll no doubt disapprove of her mom’s Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) romance.
