The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 3, reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has an unexpected reunion ahead.
Devon Winters (Bryton James) will also be tested when it comes to the progress he’s made with his anger toward Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Y&R fans know Devon’s issues began when he fumed over Mariah getting time in a psychiatric facility instead of prison.
Devon felt like Mariah deserved a real punishment for kidnapping Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark), so his fury boiled over.
However, Devon ultimately tried to make peace with the court ruling and accept that Mariah was getting the help she needed.
At this point, Devon claims he’s moved beyond the Mariah situation and that his problems aren’t about her anymore.
That stance will be put to the test once Mariah’s a free woman again.
It looks like Mariah may be discharged from her facility and reunite with Sharon in Monday’s Y&R episode, so they’ll have a lot of catching up to do.
Sharon knew that Mariah’s release might be happening soon, but it seems Mariah intentionally kept the official date a secret.
Mariah may insist she wanted to surprise Sharon and ultimately get her mom to admit it was a nice one.
After Mariah arrives at Crimson Lights and reunites with Sharon, Devon may pop up and catch a glimpse of her.
Although Devon may get blindsided over Mariah’s freedom, he may refrain from lashing out – especially if he’s telling the truth about his issues not being about Mariah any longer.
It seems like Devon has something deeper going on, so he may wish Mariah well and hope her treatment pays off.
Devon could still warn Mariah to keep her distance from Dominic, but he presumably won’t have some massive outburst like he would’ve had in the past.
Instead, Devon may decide to take off in a hurry and go sulk somewhere else.
Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will remain frustrated as long as Devon keeps pushing her away instead of tackling this crisis as a couple.
