In tonight’s Tracker recap, Randy had an interesting job for Colter Shaw tonight. It was in Buffalo, New York. There was a missing man named Finn Helms. His wife said he didn’t come home and that wasn’t like him. She was eight months pregnant. Her husband missed the eight months ultrasound.
It’s when they’re supposed to discuss the birth plan. Finn never would have missed. Not if he could help it. Colter really needed to find this poor woman’s husband, but as it was with most cases. Colter never knows what he’s about to find.
It turns out Finn has been keeping secrets. Neither he nor his wife had much money. Their furniture was mostly hand-me-downs. He still made sure everything for the baby’s room was brand new and he couldn’t do that with his salary from his job.
Finn had been fired months ago. He began moonlighting on PowerUp. It’s a shady app that many in the construction or electric company use to earn some extra cash. Finn didn’t tell his wife because not every job posted on there was above board.
Finn had been borrowing tools from his actual job to work on his side job. His boss found out about it and fired him. Finn just never told his wife he got fired. He instead threw himself deeper into the app just to pay for everything. This included the upcoming birth.
Those things can get expensive without insurance. Did Finn even have that once he lost his job? Colter doesn’t know and it wasn’t looking good for his wife. Finn wanted Grace to give up her job when she got pregnant. He said he’d take care of things.
Finn might’ve lied about that too. The latest job he took on Power up was illegally tapping lines. He went to work with a bunch of guys he didn’t know and who revealed they couldn’t be trusted. One guy was so high that he electrocuted himself.
The others covered him in tarp and drove him to the woods where they planned on burying them. Colter stopped them. He was worried that the body was Finne. He forced them to reveal who it was and only then did he buy their version of events. It really was some other guy.
Colter called the cops. He then wanted to know what happened with Finn. Finn apparently wanted to report the death to the cops. He was stopped because they were up to something illegal. Their boss Paolo said he’d talk to Finn. They supposedly went to the bar. The bar didn’t happen.
Paolo took Finn to a warehouse. He planned on threatening him to keep his mouth shut and it didn’t work because Finn fought back. It made Paolo angry. He shot Finn. He was going to kill him when a woman hit him with her car and took Finn away.
Paolo thought the woman was Finn’s wife. Only she wasn’t pregnant. There was another woman in the picture. Randy checked and Finn wasn’t having an affair. He briefly dated a woman three years ago when he and Grace were on a break. They met through one of the dating apps.
Well, Finn ended things when he got back together with Grace. They got married and were about to have their first child but Adelle Mucino didn’t move on. She hired Finn through the Power Up App. She tried to use it to reconnect and Finn didn’t lead her on. Or give her false hope.
The woman was just crazy. Colter broke into her home. He found a diary filled with love letters to Finn. She has a calendar to follow Finn’s movements. She put her own face over Grace’s in his wedding photos. The woman was that delusional. Finn wasn’t her victim either.
Adelle’s last name used to be Livers. She stalked an ex-boyfriend so much that she confined in a mental hospital until she got better. Adelle then changed her name. She met Finn and she started her stalking anew with him. She always planned on abducting Finn and Paolo merely helped. Colter had to call an ambulance for him by the way.
There was no sign of Adelle at her home. She was a realtor. She has access to plenty of luxury homes. She was keeping Finn in one of them. He was chained to a bed. She treated his gunshot wound and was then keeping him prisoner. Colter had already begun searching her listings for any sign of Finn.
He went to one house that seemed to be occupied and he knew right away it was her. He soon found Finn trying to escape from his restraints. He freed Finn. He asked where Adelle went and Finn thinks she went after his wife.
Adelle didn’t like it when he said he had to go home. She hated that his wife was pregnant. She planned on killing both mother and baby.
While Colter was freeing Finn, Adelle went to his house. She convinced Grace that Finn was in an accident. She even offered to drive her to the hospital. Finn tried calling his wife and she didn’t pick up. He then checked the surveillance camera. He saw Adelle take his wife away. Colter knew that Adelle would go to some place special to them. And Finn remembered Honor Bridge.
The car broke down on their first date on Honor Bridge. Adelle kept talking about it. Colter and Finn drove there. They distracted Adelle long enough for Grace to escape.
Adelle then tried to kill herself only Colter stopped her. He saved her life. She’ll probably start liking him now if she ever gets out of prison for abduction as well as attempted murder. Colter also didn’t take the ten grand reward. He figured the couple needed it for their baby. And Colter had Randy look into his dad’s old job for the government.
Colter needed answers and unfortunately a bunch of redacted files weren’t going to give them.
And Reenie finally stepped away from her desk long enough to enjoy herself with a hot guy.
