In tonight’s Watson episode, Watson got into a car accident with Laila. He’s been having problems with his brain. He thought he was seeing Sherlock Holmes and the answer was revealed to be a hallucination. Watson thought Sherlock must really be dead this time, but is he?
One can never tell with a man like Sherlock Holmes. Watson was badly injured from that car accident. The same goes for Laila.
They were knocked unconscious for hours and Watson’s mind tried to solve the mystery of Mr. A. Mr. A was Malcom Anson. He was Watson’s first mentor. The teacher that convinced him to go into medicine and changed the trajectory of his life.
He affectionately known as Mr. A because of it. The man was his best man at his wedding. Mr. A was more tan than usual. Something that Watson thought was done for the wedding. It wasn’t until his friend collapsed at the rehearsal dinner that he realized the tan might’ve been a symptom.
Watson began hallucinating again. Or was he? Watson was still in the car that was on fire while the seemingly alive Holmes went to the clinic to speak to his fellows. He told them about the case that Watson never solved.
What happened to Mr. A? Holmes was as ever a storyteller. He set the mood and talked to them about all the events leading up to why Mr. A’s daughter was now sick. Her name is Reagan Anson. She was suffering from the same thing as her dad.
Watson didn’t care about the wedding or going ahead without Mr. A. Mr. A wanted to leave the hospital and continue his duties as best man. Only Watson wouldn’t let him. He kept looking into what made his friend sick and there were so many things wrong that it was hard to determine what came first.
Mr. A’s heart was enlarged. He was diabetic. He was coming off an infection that his daughter gave to him. He became healthier in his forties. He then lost so much weight that it became concerning. Watson thought he diagnosed what was wrong. He thought it was a viral infection.
He let Mr. A convince him to go ahead with the wedding. He left to go to the ceremony. He married Mary and they stopped by the hospital before heading to the reception to check on Mr. A only to learn he had passed away. Watson’s diagnosis had been wrong.
Watson normally wasn’t wrong. He was then and it cost a man his life. It left him without a mentor. It left Reagan without a father. Reagan blamed herself for what happened to her dad. Watson had reassured her at the time that the problem was never her.
There had been something wrong. Watson promised to find out what it was and he never stopped looking for answers. Not in all the years it took for Reagan to grow up. Watson couldn’t solve it so it either happened or was hallucinated that Holmes helped his fellows find out what killed Mr. A.
The doctors figured out what killed him. They figured out how to save Reagan before it was too late. Ingrid also ended up with a CT Scan of someone’s head. It showed a mass on a temporal lobe. Ingrid felt that person was truly sick. She kept trying to tell Holmes about it.
He claimed to have no clue who put in on her desk or why it was moved all throughout the day. Holmes stayed until the case of Mr. A was solved and then he left. Ingrid found a post-it with the number 606 on the CT scan when it came back to her.
Ingrid went to room 606. She found Watson. Watson’s accident left him in a bad way. Yes, it was all a hallucination with Holmes returning from the dead. Watson was bad off only there was still hope. Laila was worse because she hadn’t regained consciousness.
She had to be rushed into surgery. Watson may now know what killed his friend, but he won’t survive the guilt if he learned he may have killed Laila. Watson had been having hallucinations right before the accident. He will always worry he caused it.
Mary soon performed surgery on Laila herself. She saved Laila’s life. She fixed the laceration on Laila’s liver and now the two might break up because Laila doesn’t see a future for them. Not when she wasn’t in the hallucination. Mary was in it. She wasn’t.
Watson also warned Adam about his pregnant girlfriend. She was at risk for preterm labor so Adam took it seriously. He took his fiancé to see the doctor and she was at risk. She’s been put on bedrest thanks to Watson saving her children. Watson did more than diagnose Reagan in his dream.
He fixed her when he woke up because she was real. He also learned she became a chemistry teacher like her dad. He apologized for taking so long to solve what happened to her father and now Reagan can be given medication so she doesn’t end up like him.
Watson also diagnosed himself because the CT scan in the dream was real. It was his. Watson has a brain tumor and its why Holmes returned in his mind. Holmes has been trying to warn him. Who better than his best friend.
THE END!
