In tonight’s Tracker episode, Amelia Corbett went missing from a rehab facility one night. She was twenty-one. Most people thought she escaped to relapse. It was Randy who actually didn’t think that was the case tonight and he convinced Colter to take the job. Colter began looking for Amelia right away.
He didn’t have to worry about the cops with this. The cops refused to investigate a missing adult who’s only been gone less than twenty-four hours. It was her grandmother who put out the reward of twelve grand. Leanne was worried that something might’ve happened because she’d been down this road before with Amelia. And it didn’t feel like she relapsed again.
Amelia’s parents had both passed away. Leanne was her only family. Leanne admits that she secluded herself after her daughter died and that by time she was finally able to escape the grief – it was too late for Amelia. Amelia started using drugs. She hung out with the wrong kind of people.
She was spiraling so Leanne kept pushing her to get clean until one day Amelia wanted that for herself too. She agreed to go to rehab. Her grandmother was paying for it. The night she left she had escaped through a bathroom window so that the cameras didn’t pick it up.
Colter soon determined that Amelia always planned on returning. She left her phone behind at the rehab. She stashed in the ceiling of the bathroom. Colter found it and had the facility open it for him. He saw that Amelia received a test from her friend Jessie Fischer. Jessie was having some trouble.
She asked for Amelia’s help. Now, Colter went to Jessie’s home. He got the address from Leanne. Jessie was one of the good kids. She got a scholarship to college. She was reportedly doing well. Its just that Colter found her dead roommate at the house.
Meaning she wasn’t as good as Amelia’s grandma thought.
Jessie must really be in trouble. The roommate had been tortured to death. He was probably asked where Jessie was and couldn’t tell. There was also another possibility that Jessie and Amelia killed him together. The victim was Rudy DePaul. He was a grad student at Jessie’s college.
They met up there. Whatever trouble she was in had probably involved him too. Colter was forced to call the cops after he found the body and the detective was reasonable. He thought the kids was either witnesses or perps.
The detective wanted to be kept in the loop if Colter found the girls. He put out a BOLO in the meantime. Colter quickly returned to his search. He traced the car to a fish store and that’s when he ran into his second surprise of the day. He ran into his fellow tracker, Billie.
Billie had a client who was being blackmailed with a video. She traced it back to a laptop last used that the fish store. Colter told her he was looking for two missing girls. They teamed up to question the store owner. His “fish” store was a front for an illegal pawn shop.
The girls were trying to pawn a laptop. The owner hacked it into it. He and the girls then saw what was hidden on it. It was too big for little old pawn shop. He passed on the goods. He accepted everything else. He said the girls got out of there fast. They found something bad.
The trouble that Jessie was in was bigger than Amelia thought. Jessie began robbing places with her roommate. They thought the rich wouldn’t notice if a few items went missing. Well, someone noticed. The laptop heled blackmail material on more than simply Billie’s client.
Colter tracked where the car left to. Billie checked to see if they tried a different fence. She found something round the same time as Colter did. He found out where the girls parked. They then tried to hide from the person chasing them. They instead got grabbed because they accidentally messaged their whole plan to Rudy.
They hadn’t known at the time that he was already dead. The person that grabbed them was someone dangerous. Billie found out it was Nestor Savino. Savino used to work in PR for celebrities trying to kill a story. And then he realized he could blackmail them.
Savino threatened to torture the girls once he had them. Amelia had hidden the laptop. She spoke up before her friend got tortured over it. Amelia hid it at the East Philly Rec Center.
Jessie told both Colter and Billie when they found her at Savino’s house. They took Jessie with them as they went to the rec center. They later stopped Savino from killing Amelia now that he got the laptop. Billie pulled the fire alarm. It distracted Savino long enough for Amelia to get away. It also gave Colter the all clear to take the killing shot with Savino.
Savino was dead. His empire was gone. The one thing that remained was that laptop. Billie picked it up and ran off with it before Colter could stop her.
Colter was too busy on reuniting the girls with Leanne. Leanne was so glad they were safe that she didn’t mind what they got into or the money she spent on bringing them home alive.
Colter met up with Billie again. She refused to say what she did with the laptop. She told him that he was just going to have to trust her. And he did.
Almost as much as Maxine trusted Reenie because Reenie got bird’s eye view to Maxine catching her husband cheating with a Pilates instructor tonight.
THE END!
