General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) may be in over his head! GH fans know someone’s blackmailing Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) with a pic that was snapped of Nik’s kiss with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Someone’s also blackmailing Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) with a photo of her own lip lock with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
It looks like Scott’s the blackmailer based on his strange behavior in the September 23 episode as well as the September 24 preview. Scott was fidgety and impatient while Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) tried to talk to him – then he dashed off after his phone dinged to deal with a work emergency.
A short time later, Nikolas was beyond irritated over the blackmailer he recognized on the pier.
Scott’s dialogue was also centered around money on Wednesday – like when he fibbed about his distraction and suggested he was just thinking about the payoff Bobbie would receive for her wrongful termination.
Later, Bobbie riled Scott up by making sure the tip was more than the tab. It was just Bobbie’s way of sticking it to Scott following their breakup, but it repeated that money theme.
Ava pointed a gun when the blackmailer arrived for her own meeting on the pier. General Hospital spoilers say Ava will feel betrayed and almost in shock that this person would blackmail her. It seems Scott’s friendship with Ava will be put to the test after he stabs her in the back!
The preview video shows Ava talking to somebody wearing what appears to be Scott’s gray suit and pocket square, so we can seemingly close the case on who was behind this threat.
Of course, Scott’s the kind of guy who thinks he’s the smartest person in the room, but he usually ends up botching things badly. This kind of plot is right up Scott’s alley, but he’s bound to make some mistakes.
Scott probably thinks he can score big bucks that’ll help Franco and Liz with their terrible financial situation, but Nikolas isn’t going to just sit back and take this. Even Ava could cause problems for Scott over this betrayal. Bottom line, Scott’s blackmail plot is probably going to backfire one way or another and blow up in his face!
Even so, this is a fun twist. It’ll be interesting to see just how much Franco and Liz are in the loop on – and when they know or have known it. As other GH news comes in, we’ll keep bringing you updates.
