The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will reunite with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) in captivity, so we could see this couple plot to expose their captor and escape together.
Of course, we all know how soaps love fake-outs, so it’s possible Mariah will dream or fantasize about Tessa finding her.
However, we also know how determined Tessa is to track Mariah down. Tessa can tell something’s seriously wrong and has no intention of stopping her search until she gets some answers.
With that in mind, Mariah and Tessa’s upcoming reunion could easily be the real deal. After all, there’s no one who poses a greater risk to the kidnapper’s scheme than Tessa.
Tessa’s the one who’s been the most committed to locating Mariah – and the one most unwilling to accept that Mariah just needs space.
Tessa could blow up the snatcher’s plan, so it makes sense for her to land in captivity with Mariah – and it looks like she will based on Y&R spoilers for the week of August 9-13.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Mariah will no doubt be glad to see Tessa and get some company as well as some help.
Although Mariah hasn’t been able to escape on her own, she might hope that’ll change with Tessa in the picture.
Two heads are better than one – and we know Mariah and Tessa have proven quite resourceful in dangerous situations before.
Tessa and Mariah might decide that step one is exposing the person responsible for their time in captivity, so they could come up with a ruse and try to trick their captor into revealing himself.
Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) still seems like the most likely kidnapper candidate since he’s been lying and acting so shady.
Regardless, there should be growing concerns for the baby posse once Tessa goes missing, too.
Let’s hope it’ll finally lead to some official police work on this case and some real progress! We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news becomes available.
