Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) will give Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) a shock in purgatory. That’s where Kate will be trapped for a while, but how’s she going to get unstuck?
It’s interesting that Jordan is who Days writers picked for Kate to run into.
There has to be some significance, so let’s talk about Kate’s history with Jordan and where this DOOL storyline could be heading.
When Jordan first showed up on Days, she was a secretive physical therapist who was just trying to lay low.
Kate was the one who sought Jordan out to treat Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) following an injury.
However, Kate became suspicious of Jordan and was rather unsettled by her growing bond with Rafe.
That caused Kate to dig into Jordan’s background, which led her to Clyde Weston (James Read) in Poplar Bluff.
Jordan and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) lived in fear of Clyde, so they had been traveling around and changing their identities.
Since Kate unleashed Clyde on Salem, that’s something that altered the course of many lives.
Jordan had a horrible relationship with Clyde, who was her abusive rapist stepfather.
Now that Jordan is sitting in purgatory, she’s no doubt had plenty of time to think about the road that led her here.
Jordan might trace all her problems back to Clyde and consider him her unfinished business since he’s still alive.
Kate owes Jordan and now hates Clyde as well, so they have a mutual enemy.
Perhaps Jordan will insist that if Kate gets a chance to escape purgatory, then she has to eliminate Clyde once and for all.
There might even be a situation where some devilish deal means Kate can come back from the dead – but only if she’s willing to sentence someone else to death in her place.
If that’s the deal and Kate’s forced to take it or leave it, you can bet she’ll take it!
Days viewers know Kate isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, especially when it comes to the people she loathes.
In other words, Kate may have to murder Clyde if she wants to get out of purgatory and return to the land of the living permanently.
It was always kind of a weird writing choice to keep Clyde alive after he was revealed as Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) killer.
Clyde doesn’t seem to serve much purpose anymore, so why not just kill him off?
Although Clyde is in prison now, maybe Kate will have to eliminate him forever if she wants to revive herself.
Jordan would certainly be pleased if Clyde finally got sentenced to death!
