In tonight’s Law & Order SVU episode, the new Chief of Detectives got Benson involved in an active kidnapping. The kidnapped child was Haley Greene. She was eight years old and cold. It was cold outside. She was wrapped up. She still wasn’t warm enough. Her mother kept the car on to keep the heat on.
It was supposed to keep her warm while she made a quick stop, but then someone stole her car and Haley was still in the backseat. Her mom ran after the car. She begged it to stop. She begged everyone she ran past to call 911. The kidnappers still made off with her daughter. There was no telling where the car went or if whoever took it and the girl will keep her alive.
Some were quick to blame the mother for the incident. Cady Greene left her daughter alone in the car. She didn’t even lock it because she thought she’d be right back.
She was a delivery driver. She took her eyes off of the car for a minute and someone took the car. She was also blaming herself until the cops began asking questions. The theft was precise. There was a second vehicle following the car. It was a white van. There was a chance that Haley was deliberately targeted and so SVU had to ask about Haley’s father.
His name is Dylan Reed. He’s a musician. He travels a lot for work. He mostly tries to see Haley once a month. He didn’t have a problem with the custody arrangement nor did he want to be on the hook for childcare.
Else he would have given Cady the money she needed. Haley was with her that day because she was sick. She couldn’t go to school and she couldn’t be left at home by herself. Cady has to work. She can’t afford not to. She also couldn’t afford childcare and that’s why she was out of options that day.
Cady didn’t think Dylan was involved. The cops wanted to rule him out and they asked Cady for her help in doing so. They asked her to call him. To get him on the speaker verifying where he was.
Cady called him and Dylan didn’t answer the phone. He wasn’t answering. It made him look guilty when they got footage of the kidnapping. The person that stole the car was a woman. She waved to Haley in the backseat before she even jumped into the car and there was a chance that Haley knew her kidnapper.
This wasn’t a car theft. This was outright kidnapping. It was all about Haley and the car being found burnt out just proved that. The car was completely destroyed.
There was enough to identify it as Cady’s car and that there wasn’t a body found inside. They asked Cady about the woman in the video. She didn’t recognize the woman. She knew everyone in Cady’s life. She didn’t recognize the man driving in the white van either. The kidnappers were smart enough to hide their faces from the cameras when they planned this.
The person that Cady delivered to was also ruled out. The kidnappers were pros. They’ve done this before and Dylan didn’t know them or have money troubles. He was a trust fund kid. It’s how he was able to afford the great apartment. Dylan didn’t answer back right away because he was at a recording studio.
They stayed there all night trying to get a jiggle right. Only Haley wasn’t grabbed for money either. Sergeant Rollins was brought in and Intelligence monitored the dark web in case Haley showed on a child pornography site. They were alerted when a video of Haley was posted online.
Haley was alive. She wasn’t being sexually abused. She was being just tortured. The people that grabbed her had put a shock collar around her neck. The ones normally made for dogs.
Haley was tortured into screaming. It was all done for views. They were going to torture her until they killed her. They called her Missy. The site was a streaming webpage called Missy Mayhem. It was live streaming and this indicated that Haley was taken somewhere within a two hour distance from where she was grabbed.
The cops couldn’t track the location behind the live stream. The pros knew how to hide it. Their client base didn’t. The subscribers were easily found. They were facing felonies for taking part in child endangerment and accessory to assault.
They talked. They didn’t know much except for this one guy. He’s been subscribed for two years. He said that he started watching for the original Missy. He also took screen recording of the original Missy. The girl was never reported missing. Her body hadn’t been found.
There was some sound of a bunch of barking dogs in the background. From what they could tell from the videos of the original Missy, the little girl was tortured with all forms of degradation. She was essentially treated like a dog. She slept in a dog bed. She had to wear a dog collar. The kidnappers were dog breeders.
They were training these girls as if they were dogs. The cops went looking into nearby dog breeders. They showed them photos of the missing girls. One of the dog breeders recognized the photo of the original Missy as Ashlyn Carwood.
Ashlyn was the daughter of two dog breeders named Nicole and Dennis Carwood. Ashlyn wasn’t kidnapped. There was a birth certificate showing that she was born to the Carwoods.
She was their biological daughter. They tortured their own daughter for sick perverts on the internet. The cops went to their home. They found the room where the videos are livestreamed. They just didn’t find Haley. There was a shallow grave in the back and it was their daughter’s grave. Ashlyn didn’t want to do the videos anymore. And so Nicole killed her.
They then grabbed a new girl to continue their sick side business. This all got started because Dennis Carwood had a kink. He liked Nicole punishing the dogs. It got him excited and then their daughter came along.
They realized they were probably a lot of people out there like Dennis. They started the site. Dennis likes to watch. It was Nicole that did the torturing. The couple turned on each other to save their own skin. One of them gave up Haley’s location. She was found alive and returned to her mother.
They also wanted to make a deal that would keep them out of federal prison, but Nicole was concerned about what would happen to her dogs. She didn’t care about her daughter. Or her husband. She just wanted to make sure that someone was taking care of her dogs when she’s gone.
THE END!
