The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, December 26, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will throw a drink at Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) after Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) makes a life-changing decision.
At Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) place, he’ll try to convince Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) can’t be trusted to help them.
Jack will be more concerned about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) since she’s such a wildcard.
However, there are other options on the table, including Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) since Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) begged for his help.
Michael will explain his dilemma to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) at Crimson Lights, where she’ll offer advice.
Lauren will acknowledge that someone needs to get this dangerous AI program away from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
At the same time, Lauren will worry about the wrath Michael will face if he gets caught double-crossing Victor.
In the end, Lauren will suggest Michael should make sure Victor never finds out he’s part of this plot.
Michael will realize if he’s going to pull this off, he’ll have to be “duplicitous as hell” and get closer to Victor than he’s ever been.
At the GCAC, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will bump into Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and blast him for attacking the Abbotts through Newman Media.
Adam will rush to his own defense, but Sally will think this whole “changed man” act is a lie.
Sally will throw Adam’s past cheating in his face and rant about him becoming just like Victor.
Adam ruined Sally’s big night at Abbott Communications and betrayed his friendship with Jack, so Sally will think all that matters to him is doing Victor’s bidding.
Adam will end up suggesting that Sally’s getting scammed by Billy’s phony life improvements instead.
Since Billy doesn’t like playing second fiddle, Adam will basically warn Sally to watch her back.
After Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) arrives to find the tension between Sally and Adam, she’ll slam Adam once they’re alone and threaten to quit.
If Adam continues to let Victor use Newman Media as an attack missile, Chelsea will warn that she won’t hesitate to walk away.
Later, Sally will give Jack and Billy updates on her faceoff with Adam.
Billy will make it clear that Adam is just as untrustworthy as Victor despite whatever friendship he used to have with Jack.
While Jack hints about a strategy, Y&R spoilers say Kyle will run into Claire at Society.
Claire will wonder if Kyle told her the truth about Victor because he wanted her to help the Abbotts.
Kyle will acknowledge that Jack thought it was a good idea, but he’ll insist he’d never use Claire and put her in that difficult position.
That said, if Claire offered to help get through to Victor, then Kyle certainly wouldn’t turn her down.
Claire will feel like she should remain neutral under the circumstances, so Kyle will understand.
There’ll be some talk about Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) liking the Christmas gift Claire got him since she knows him so well.
Kyle will also mention an upcoming post-Christmas celebration at the ranch, but he’ll think it’s best if Mrs. Martinez is the one to take Harrison to join his cousins.
Once Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) walks in, he’ll hope Claire didn’t eat without him.
It’ll be obvious to Kyle that Holden and Claire are meeting up for a meal, so he’ll decide he should go.
Claire will ask about seeing Harrison later, but Kyle will suggest she should call first or perhaps wait until Mrs. Martinez takes Harrison to the ranch.
Kyle will leave looking hurt, so Claire will chase after him.
Outside, Kyle will assure Claire that it’s fine, but he can’t keep thinking he can change her mind.
Claire will look distraught as Kyle makes it clear that they need to focus on living their own lives.
Kyle will reflect on the good times they had before hoping Claire finds whatever she’s searching for.
Audra will secretly eavesdrop around the corner and look delighted as Kyle sulks off leaving Claire upset.
After Claire heads inside, Audra will enter moments later and find Holden alone.
Audra will taunt him about his new girlfriend and wonder if Claire’s in the powder room after getting weepy.
When Claire returns, she’ll warn Audra to shut up and not cross her right now.
Audra will make a comment about Claire getting dumped by one boyfriend while another one’s waiting to buy her a sunrise Vesper.
Since Audra will keep pushing and pushing, Claire will grab a nearby drink and throw it in her face.
Holden will look like he’s struggling to stifle his laughter as Audra stands there all wet.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will pour himself a hot beverage and sit at the table looking pensive.
Once Jack comes home and wonders if his son is OK, Kyle will admit he just made a life-changing decision.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will have a lot to figure out now that he’s given up on Claire, so stay tuned for more news on his future.
