The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be released from the hospital during the week of July 6-10.
That’ll set the stage for the next step in Nikki’s medical journey and the crushing blow that’s seemingly coming up.
Although Nikki’s been pretty stubborn lately when it comes to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he may refuse to take no for an answer when it comes to his preferred living arrangements for her.
Nikki will still have her eye bandages on when she’s discharged from the hospital and will need her family’s assistance to navigate in the dark.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will help Nikki enter the ranch, so it looks like Victor will insist on his wife moving back in.
No matter where things stand between them romantically, Victor will want Nikki to be in an environment that’s familiar and easy to navigate.
Plus, Newman family members are in and out of the ranch all the time. It just makes sense for Nikki to stay there so she can rely on those closest to her.
However, Nikki may face heartbreaking news when it’s time for those bandages to finally be removed.
It may lead to Nikki realizing she’s still totally blind or that her vision is at least severely impaired.
Of course, Nick and Victoria may remind Nikki that her doctor said it could take days or even weeks for her sight to come back.
Even so, Nikki will no doubt be concerned over the possibility that her blindness might be permanent.
On July 10, Nikki will have a hard time dealing with her new reality.
Y&R fans will see Nikki face some challenges as she tries to handle her condition and how different her life is now.

This whole ordeal will be tough on Nikki, so she may take her pain and anger out on Victor – even when he’s just trying to help.
