The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, September 10, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) right where she wants her, but she’ll be stuck waiting on Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will also explain how she escaped after showing up at Matt’s hotel room door.
Over the phone, Phyllis will admit Matt convinced her that Sharon would care if he saved Phyllis’ life.
The goal will be for Matt to come to Phyllis rescue in front of Sharon and make her see that he’s a good person.
After Phyllis disconnects, Y&R spoilers say she’ll put her part of the plan in motion.
Phyllis will start by throwing a ton of compliments at Sharon and apologizing for being rude the other day.
Phyllis will also claim that Matt seems to have left town and will be sorry for being insensitive to Sharon’s past with him.
After Phyllis admits she wanted to save Matt, she’ll act like Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is rubbing off on her.
Phyllis will hope Sharon can forgive her for pushing away the people who care about her and will want to get their friendship back on track.
Sharon will try to turn down Phyllis’ lunch invitation since she’s working, but Phyllis will pressure her into it.
At the athletic club, Sharon will joke around with Phyllis and agree to get them a table while Phyllis handles a phone call.
Phyllis will leave Matt a voicemail wondering where he is since she’s ready and will warn him to get there before she chickens out.
At the Riverbank Motel, Patty will arrive at Matt’s room smelling like all the cleaning products she ingested to get herself put in the hospital.
Patty will admit a hospital escape is easier than making one from prison, so she’ll suggest that’s a tip for Matt.
Matt won’t think he’s going to need it, but Patty will argue that he’s inevitably going to commit another crime.
Patty will rant about Phyllis and push Matt to team up with her since they both have unfinished business in Genoa City.
After Patty admits she wants to see Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Matt will refuse to help her with that. Patty will argue that what she really needs is a hideout, but Matt will show her the door instead.
Although Matt will defend Phyllis and think Patty’s the one with the agenda here, Patty will give him her burner phone number in case he changes his mind.
Once Patty exits, Matt will seem deep in thought as he mulls over Patty’s visit and listens to Phyllis’ voicemail.
At the park café, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will urge Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to give up his Chancellor fight permanently and not just until the baby’s born.
Since Billy is getting married to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and having a child with her, Audra won’t understand why that isn’t enough for him.
Billy will make it clear that his personal life decisions are above Audra’s pay grade.
After Billy talks about making choices for himself, he’ll warn Audra to never accuse him of putting anything above Sally again.
At Jabot, Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will continue to clash over his friendship with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as well as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) possible plans for Vibrante.
Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will eventually call with news regarding Patty’s escape, so Diane will flip out when she realizes Patty could target them again.
Jack will reassure Diane and insist Patty won’t gain the upper hand again.
When Billy arrives to accept Jack’s offer to fund a company, he’ll also hear about Patty’s hospital getaway.
Jack will have a plan to smoke Patty out, but he’ll need Billy’s assistance.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Abbotts will do whatever they can to stop Patty from doing more damage, so stay tuned.
