In tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, it was the last night of Semifinals! Up first was Acro Canine Crew. They were the kids and dogs act. They performed to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. Only something was noticeably different about tonight’s performance. It seemed to lack dog. It was more the kids dancing than it was the dogs pulling off incredible feats. It was still good. It was some light-hearted fun and that’s what the world needed most. It just might not be enough to get them into the Finals. The group was soon followed by Kameron Marshall.

Kameron is a magician. His tricks are card related. He stood out by including everyone and he does mean everyone in his act. The whole audience often got roped in. It turned a simple card trick into something much bigger. It was fun. It was for all ages. He also kept getting better and better. He’s got everyone’s interest after tonight. He should go to the Finale. There’s just no telling if he makes it because its all about how America’s votes. Getting to voting, America.

Next up was Cesar Diaz. Diaz was part singing and part comedy act. He was another surprise of the group after Acro Canine Crew. They both beat people the audience was sure were going to make it yet it was them that got to the Semifinals. Cesar’s comedic angle was that he was always somehow getting hurt as he performs a classic. He’d get electrocuted or fall through the steps like tonight. It was very funny. It always had people laughing. It was merely Mel who didn’t get his act nor did she want to.

Mel felt the singing had fallen off. Which hadn’t been unfair because others noticed it too. There was so much more that Cesar could’ve added. Mel was left disappointed and the audience booed her for it. They love Cesar. Howie was also coming around to Cesar because he had people smiling and laughing. He’d be a great act to take the kids to see in Las Vegas. The shows there are usually targeted towards adults rather than family friendly. Cesar was then followed by Veronika Goroshkova.

Veronika was an aerialist. She flew threw the air like no one else. She also pulled off a cool trick in which she dropped a scarf and slid down right before falling off her pole to catch it herself. It was little details like this that grabbed the audience attention. Sure, they do it to see if something goes wrong most times but America wasn’t that harsh with the aerialist. They were constantly worried about them falling from great heights. They didn’t joke about them. They didn’t want anyone to get seriously injured. And that hint of danger added to a stellar overall performance.

Up next Luke Taleno. He was a singer/rapper. He was in the middle of studying for his citizenship when he got the call for AGT. It meant there was some overlapping. He had to fly back to Miami for his interview a day before the show and rush back to practice his performance. It’s a good thing the time difference worked in his favor. He got to go back in time to arrive and put on one of his best performance to date. He was a truly skilled rapper. Its been great all night and the votes were still coming in.

Luke was followed by Royal Lasers. They were a light-up dance trio. Well, they started out as a trio. They’ve since grown into a small group of dancers and that was a great surprise for tonight because the light show they put on was so on point. Mel said those words. Howie couldn’t help say he loves these guys. Sofia loved them as well. They were fun and skill. They didn’t drop off in spite of a Golden Buzzer. Their showmanship was great and the audience seemed to like them as well. They just needed to vote.

There was another dog act that made it to the Semifinals. Olivia Befus and his pets were the dog. She had more dogs doing tricks that Acro Canine Crew. It was also just her by herself with the three dogs. It was still good. It simply lacked the full scale off ACC. Howie said it. He said it sucks that she had to be on the same night as them because she’d get compared to them unfairly. Mel felt he had a point. Then Mel herself pointed out that her skillset had to be higher to hold the stage by herself. It was still good albeit in a different way.

Next up was Young & Strange. The comedy magical act was another one that roped in the audience. They also just had people laughing when they weren’t pulling off stellar feats. They were the true heart of the night. Their magic was also just as impressive. No one knew how they did half the stuff they did. They were exactly what the audience was looking for. The audience just has to fight to keep them. They were followed by another dance crew. This time its Come Here.

Come Here have had the judges’s approval from the start. They were precise. Their routines kept the energy up all the way to the end. They were pretty amazing. Plus, dance groups have historically gone very far on AGT. Its just hard to say where the mindset is because what America wanted one week might not be what they wanted the next. They put out their best performance. They’ve wowed everyone if nothing else.

Soon up was Daniel Alavarez. He started off a little bit wobbly before he gained that confidence. The confidence that has always carried him through his performances and that made him push ahead even if not every joke landed. Daniel was funny. He was quick with his punchlines. He was a riot and they should keep him. He was the only true comedian at this stage of the competition. Others added elements of comedic timing. He was true comedy.

There was three magical acts tonight. The last one being Geno Ploeger. Its hard because he was a solo act like Kameron. He involved the audience liked all of three of the earlier magicians. Its just that the man always looks panicked at the end. He pulled off amazing feats then he gets all panicked. Like breathe, sir. He didn’t mean it to be funny. It just turned out that way. No matter what you made it to the semifinals.

The last act of the night was Travis Garland. Travis was a singer. He had a great performance last week. He now had to find some way to top that and he believed he found the right song for it. He chose “When The Party’s Over”. Billie Eilish was difficult to cover, but Travis did a stellar job. His falsetto couldn’t be matched. He was another contender for the votes tonight and tomorrow will show which way America was leaning.

THE END!
