The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, September 23, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) won’t want Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow) anywhere near his marriage ceremony.
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will also snub Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At the athletic club, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will gush over Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) bridesmaid olive branch and will push Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to attend the wedding with her.
Adam won’t think the promise of being civil will be enough for Billy. Besides, Adam won’t want to watch Sally make the biggest mistake of her life.
Chelsea will argue that the wedding is happening whether Adam approves or not.
If Adam attends and is on his best behavior, then it could be a meaningful statement to Sally and even Billy.
Since it’ll be important to Chelsea, Adam will agree to go and be so well-behaved that even the groom will be toasting him.
At Crimson Lights, Cane will bump into Billy and confirm that he’s coming to the nuptials with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
There’ll be some talk about Jill, but Billy will make it clear that he hasn’t talked to her and doesn’t want her tainting his happy day with Sally.
Cane will hope to remarry Lily eventually and will point out that he’ll be sad to not have Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) at the ceremony.
Billy will argue that he’d rather have Colin at his wedding than Jill at this point and stand his ground on keeping her away.
Cane will warn Billy that he’ll regret it if Jill isn’t there, but Billy just won’t be interested in making amends.
At The Shadow Room, Sally will bring Audra up to speed on her decision to make Chelsea a bridesmaid.
Audra won’t trust Chelsea the con artist and won’t like the idea of her potentially bringing Adam along to stir up trouble.
Sally will wonder if maybe Audra is a bit jealous of her bonding with Chelsea.
Audra will acknowledge that friends are rare for her, so she tends to hoard them and drive them away.
In the end, Audra will agree not to hog Sally and will relent on her having the wedding day she wants, even if she personally thinks this Chelsea invitation is a mistake.
Once Billy pops up, Audra will take off and cross paths with Cane at the coffeehouse.
Audra will realize they haven’t spent much quality time together since Nice and will suggest to Cane that they should catch up.
That’ll lead to Audra quizzing Cane about his wedding date, so he’ll assume she’s fishing to go with him and will insist he already has one.
Audra will eventually tell Cane to get over himself since “Aristotle Dumas” was hot, but Cane is just another guy trying to hold onto a job.
Back with Sally, she’ll argue with Billy about whether Jill should attend the nuptials.
Sally will assume Jill is coming since she’s been texting with her about the wedding details.
Billy will grumble about the audacity of Jill thinking she should be there after everything that’s happened, but Sally will clearly be rooting for Billy to put his issues aside and let her come.
