The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) worst fear could be on the verge of coming true. Is Matt about to revert to a much scarier version of himself thanks to another severe blow to the head?
Y&R fans will recall how Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) fought Matt off in the desert by bashing his head with a rock.
That led to Matt getting amnesia and forgetting the awful person he used to be.
Even after Matt’s memories returned, he was horrified over everything he’d done.
Matt made it his mission to find redemption, but he never got the forgiveness and acceptance he was craving in Genoa City.
Although Matt found some peace and flying sparks with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), he ultimately left town with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Matt hoped to convince Patty to turn herself in, but she crashed his car and escaped instead.
Based on the October 6 episode, Matt has some terrible gashes on his head and clearly took quite a hit.
Could Y&R use this to revive Matt’s old personality and make him the evil version of himself that he was before?
It’d bring the storyline full circle to start Matt’s redemption arc with a head injury and end it with another one that sends him back down a villainous path.
Matt previously insisted he’d rather die than turn back into that baddie, but it may be beyond his control.
On October 7, Matt will spend some time staring at himself in the mirror.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Matt will realize something disturbing, so maybe he’s about to discover that he’s feeling wicked again.
Matt may be taken aback as he finds himself craving revenge on his former enemies and wanting to cause all kinds of destruction.
Of course, it’s also possible that Matt will simply realize Patty could wreak more havoc on GC and become determined to stop her.
However, we have to consider the possibility that Matt will decide to join Patty in creating more destruction instead.
Matt might realize Patty was right about this being the real him and prepare to cause additional chaos of his own.
We could imagine that putting Phyllis in a tight spot where she’s forced to put herself in danger to try breaking through to her version of Matt.
No matter how it all goes down, Matt’s story will come with plenty of surprising news and exciting moments!
