The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, October 19, reveal that someone unexpected will apparently come blowing into the athletic club and bring the wedding to a screeching halt.
It seems Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is about to get a huge shock, so let’s discuss the marriage ceremony curveball that’s coming up.
Although Sally has been glad to reunite with Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell), she’s been disappointed over “Grams” aka Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo) not being able to make it to the nuptials.
Shirley has been tending to Sally’s great-aunt off-screen since she took a fall, so Sally obviously understands.
However, we know from casting announcements and other behind-the-scenes content that Shirley will indeed be at the wedding.
Shirley will end up walking Sally down the aisle, so that means an interruption has to happen.
The wedding kicks off in Friday’s episode without Shirley present, so she may come rushing through the door on Monday and stop the ceremony temporarily.
Of course, it’s also possible Billy arranged this as a final surprise for Sally and this has something to do with the note delivered before the wedding.
However, it’ll be far more fun if Shirley simply comes racing in and catches everyone off guard, including the bride!
Whatever the case, Shirley will become part of the festivities, so it’s fantastic news that she’ll be able to watch Sally tie the knot.
Sally and Billy will ultimately say their vows, but more shockers will follow.
That’s because Billy’s about to get a phone call that lets him know Jill Abbott’s (last played by Lauren Koslow) medical issue has gotten even worse.
Both Billy and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will get some alarming info from Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff), so there’ll definitely be some growing fears about Jill and whether she can survive this.
Will Jill’s test results lead Snapper to believe she doesn’t have much time left?
Will Billy consider racing to Jill’s side and trying to patch things up with her in person while he still can?
Sally will also go into labor shortly after becoming Mrs. Abbott, so some chaos is about to erupt on her end, too.
This will definitely be a wedding day to remember in so many ways, so stay tuned for all the dramatic Y&R scenes to come.
