In tonight’s Fire Country episode, the shooting resulted in several injuries. Jake’s helmet got hit. It didn’t break through to his skull. He just got some glass fibers into his head and so it was like removing the world’s biggest splinter. Jake was going to be alright. He went home. He then got into a massive fight with Violet. Violet took the pregnancy test.

It came back negative. They were both left disappointed by it. Violet also couldn’t believe that Jake was going back to work the next morning like nothing ever happened. She wanted him to take the day off.

Jake snapped at her that he couldn’t go back on his duties. Violet felt that wasn’t a decision he gets to make alone anymore. They got into a huge fight that was compounded by their disappointment with the pregnancy test.

Violet ended up sleeping in the guest room that night. She thought Jake was acting jerky. He thought she was sounding too much like a lawyer. They both went to sleep that night angry. It simply didn’t stop Jake from going to work the next morning. Everyone had theories about the gunshots.

Manny thought his nephew could’ve been the target. He said he knew Angel. Angela probably made a bunch of enemies in prison. One of them could be seeking revenge now.

Eve tried to tell him that he didn’t have proof and he also hadn’t seen Angel in years. There’s no telling who was shooting or why. Her theory was that it was the guys whose mom’s house burned down because the firehouse took too long to respond to the fire. They were busy on other calls at the time. It was technically no one’s fault.

Not that the Moffit men weren’t angry. They got in Manny’s face. They almost came to blows with him. They have even more cause to be angry now because their mother later died in the hospital.

She passed from smoke inhalation from that fire. Her son Hayden was former military. He’d struggled to readjust to civilian life since he came home. He’s also been cited once before for brandishing a weapon during a moment of road rage. He was looking good for the shooting and it was just Manny who refused to believe his nephew wasn’t somehow connected to he mess.
