General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest a recent scene involving Jude (Wil Traval) seems to confirm his true identity.
Since the ABC soap announced Wil Traval would be entering the role of Jude this past September, there has been a buzz that the mysterious character was hiding who he really was.
In fact, co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased during their fall preview of GH that Jude would enter the canvas at some point in October, and his identity would be revealed in the future.
It was clear that “Jude” would be pretending to be someone when he first entered Port Charles.
Jude debuted on the Friday, October 16, episode, however, fans got to know a little bit more about the character on Monday, October 19, when he shared some scenes with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Jude was drawn to Britt when she cleared out the Brown Dog Bar after lashing out at Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
As such, Liz and the rest of the hospital gang hanging out at the bar moved their party over to Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) place.
Britt’s feistiness caught the eye of Jude. He bought her a drink, grabbed a chair next to her, and the flirting began.
Jude certainly did not beat around the bush during the Monday, October 19 episode.
After he and Britt shared some giggles, he was open and honest about wanting a no-strings-attached night with the good doctor.
The two agreed that no names or numbers would be exchanged. Britt thought it would be a good idea to use aliases in bed and suggested “Jane” for herself.
This got an interesting reaction from Jude, who looked like he almost threw up in his mouth at the thought of calling Britt “Jane.”
He quickly recovered, stating that “Jane” was too plain to call Britt by and suggested, “Stunner” instead.
After a steamy kiss, Britt decided Jude’s alias would be “Crackerjack.”
But let’s get back to the Easter egg in the scene: Britt bringing up the name Jane.
There’s been a ton of fan speculation that Jude is Jerry Jacks (last played by Sebastian Roché).
Jerry and Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (last played by Ingo Rademarcher) mother was named Jane Jacks (Barbara Tarbuck).
Jude’s reaction to the name “Jane” almost confirms what many fans have been thinking: Jude will end up being Jerry Jacks.
This is interesting on so many levels since Britt would know who Jerry is.
GH fans recall when the Jerry the deadly villain returned to town during the 2007 Metro Court hostage situation, he had undergone plastic surgery so no one could recognize him.
Jerry is a WSB fugitive, so it’s not hard to think he’d come up with that same idea a second time around. After all, it worked brilliantly the first time!
