The Young and the Restless Tuesday, October 20 Recap: Adam Delivers Sally’s Daughter, Billy Misses Birth

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, October 20, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will step up for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and help with her baby girl’s grand entrance.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) won’t make it in time for the birth, but he’ll share some warm moments with Sally soon after.

In Sally’s suite, she’ll panic as she realizes she can’t make it to the hospital.

Adam will repeatedly try to call Billy, who’ll keep declining his calls due to the situation with Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow).

In his phone call to Billy and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff) will clarify that Jill had a heart attack.

There’ll be some talk about Jill needing surgery, but Snapper will admit she may not survive if she has it.

Snapper will basically warn Cane and Billy to prepare for the worst, so Cane will get Snapper to put the phone to Jill’s ear so he can say some sweet words to her.

Cane will also plan to fly to London and be with Jill, but he’ll acknowledge that he’s not Jill’s son.

Only Billy can make the call on whether he joins Cane on this trip.

Billy will reflect on missing the window of opportunity to say goodbye to John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) and won’t seem eager to repeat that scenario with Jill.

However, things are different for Billy now that he’s got a wife and a new baby on the way.

In the end, Y&R spoilers say Billy will decide he has to find Sally since she always knows what to do.

Down in the jazz lounge, Billy will go looking for Sally and eventually learn she’s up in her suite.

Billy will fill Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) in on what’s going on with Jill before crossing paths with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who’ll be looking for Adam since he disappeared, too.

As for Cane, he’ll tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Jill’s heart drama and get some encouragement regarding his London trip.

Cane won’t want to leave Lily when she’s waiting for news on her cancer, but she’ll offer reassurance.

Back up in Sally’s suite, she’ll admit Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) took her phone earlier.

Adam will try using the phone in the room, but it won’t have a dial tone.

Unfortunately, Adam’s cell will be dead by then, so he’ll end up having to deliver the baby himself.

That’ll bring some powerful scenes with Sally as Adam clutches her hand and coaches her through the birth.

Sally will eventually hold her baby girl for the first time before Billy arrives at the door.

Once Adam lets Billy inside, Sally will encourage him to come meet his daughter.

Billy and Sally will gaze at their little one on the bed together as Adam stands off to the side looking deep in thought.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will try to talk her out of serving as Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) therapist.

It’s just too twisted considering Matt’s horrible history with Sharon.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will return from checking Matt in the clinic and will back Mariah up.

Sharon will defend her decision to help with Matt’s therapy, but she’ll at least agree to sleep on it.

After Mariah leaves, Nick will admit he wants to go see Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) tonight, but Sharon will worry since he’s had such a stressful day already.

Nick will acknowledge that worrying about each other is what they do and will once again push Sharon to let this idea of being Matt’s therapist go.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will have more Matt turmoil to contend with, so stay tuned!
