Is Jessica Simpson planning a shotgun wedding?
This past weekend, the 31-year-old singer-turned-designer, who is pregnant with her first child, was spotted looking at wedding gowns at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in Los Angeles, a fact that has had some outlets, like US Magazine, speculating that Jessica may be planning to wed her fiancé Eric Johnson before she gives birth.
Jessica told US last month that she wanted to wait to get married until after her child is born so that she could “enjoy” the day. (And by “enjoy,” we’re assuming she means “can drink all of the champagne she wants.”)
“We were always going to wait [until] after the baby” she said. “We flirted around with different dates before I found out I was pregnant, and thankfully we didn’t lock anything down. I want to enjoy the day… I’m glad we didn’t make a deposit.”
Still, considering that Jessica is already signed up to be a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, perhaps she was just shopping for a dress for her smaller, post-baby body by imagining how it would look (because it’s not like she could really try any on.)
