If you’ve spent any time at all tuning into Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s then you already probably have a pretty decent handle on Kris Jenner– or at least how the show itself wants us to see her. She’s the boss lady, the momager and she pretty much seems to get whatever it is that she wants. Is she a shrewd business woman? I’m not sure, but she has managed to turn her kids into millionaires for doing precious little. I mean none of them has a particular talent that should make them famous, but put Kim Kardashian and sisters Kourtney and Khloe all together and somehow a brand was born. Put these girls together and people will watch and guess what? Kris was right. Kardashian reality shows have been airing for 5 years now and quite frankly, there’s no end in sight.
Pam Behan worked as a nanny for the family for five years and for all intents and purposes, existed as the girls’ second mom. In an exclusive interview with Celeb Dirty Laundry this week she reflected on what it was like working for Kris.
“I think Kris puts a tremendous amount of pressure and stress on herself. She’s a perfectionist and you and I know that’s not how life it. She spends a lot of time and frustration on being perfect. She also wants her daughters to live this perfect life. She was very privileged. She married Robert Kardashian and they had a lot of money. Kris would give me a list every single morning of the things that I had to accomplish. It was in addition to my daily duties and in addition to my picking up and dropping off kids and making dinner for 10 every night.
When I first started and wasn’t used to Kris’ personality, I was in tears a couple times. After I got used to it and accepted that it’s just how Kris is, I was fine. Some days weren’t so easy because the thing about Kris is that she tells you when something bothers her. Sometimes she yells when telling you, then it’s done and over with and everything is fine. If it was bad I’d never have been there for 5 years. They were very good to me.”
I’m not exactly a fan of Kris and I could totally see her flipping out on Pam or anyone else that happens to not do things the way that she demands them to be. I also want to believe that she is also generous with those that help her. Can she be all bad? Or maybe after years of wheeling and dealing to turn the Kardashian name into an empire unto itself Kris has become a whole lot worse than the woman that Pam remembers.
