The wicked witch checks out all of Regina’s trinkets she left behind. One of her flying monkeys shows up and she tells him it was wasted on Regina. She tries on a lovely green dress of Regina’s and tells her monkey to go find Regina and tell her that she’s in her castle. She tells him not to be gentle.

The motley crew heads into Robin’s forest for cover. Red is there too and tells Snow that she hopes Regina is good for good and Red tells her that Regina doesn’t look like she’s doing well. Snow asks if she’s thinking about Henry and she admit that she always is – she also says that she thinks the tunnels that run under the castle may run under the spell. David proposes taking in an army and she says she would go alone and lower the shield so then they could bring the army in.

The monkey attacks the group and Regina saves a boy then turn the flying monkey into a stuffed animal which she gives the scared young child. Emma’s parents explain that they remember going back to the Enchanted Forest and then waking up a year later back in Storybrooke with no remembrance. They say they don’t even know if they went anywhere. Hook says they did because he was there with them. He says they were headed for Regina’s castle when he left them.

They ask Hook how he knew to bring Emma there and he says a bird came to him while sailing and it had a note saying to bring her to Storybrooke along with the vial of memory potion. He assumed it was Snow and Charming that sent it, but they assure him it was not. Charming says it sounds like something Snow would do.

Grumpy bursts in and says four more people are missing. There are several dwarves gone. Emma asks about Neil, but they haven’t see him. Hook tells her that Neil always shows up. They aren’t even sure he was part of the curse. Emma tells them they need their memories back so they need to figure out who took them in the first place. They tell her Regina is just as confused.

Back in the forest, they discuss the flying monkey. Belle tells them that only one land has that creature – Oz. Regina tells them that it’s a real place and that tells them who is in their castle – the Wicked Witch. Grumpy asks East or West because one can be destroyed with water. Charming assumes Regina angered her but she says she has never met her.

Regina heads out to the castle and says she can lower the shield on her own. Snow wants to help but Regina insists she can go it alone. They promise to be ready to attack.

At the diner, the townfolk try not to let Henry know they know who he is. Her parents comes in and she introduces them as old friends. Snow tells him she was Emma’s cell mate and that she was in jail for “banditry” and says everyone makes mistakes. They try to distract Henry. Regina drops her cup and it shatters when she sees Henry. She apologizes for startling him and Emma rushes to pull her aside for a talk. She tells Regina that Henry doesn’t remember her. She asks why Emma is there and she says Hook brought her a potion but it was only enough for one.

Regina tells her she didn’t work the curse and says she wouldn’t work a curse that would hurt her instead of others. Emma is ready to investigate. In the woods of Storybrooke, Little John tries a store-bought crossbow but misses the turkey he shoots at. The Merry Men tease him. He chases the turkey to the city line where a flying monkey grab him and flies off with him while the others watch in horror.

At the city limit, Robin shows Emma where Little John was taken. They wonder if he was taken because he nearly crossed the city limit line. She says it sounds like the monster that attacked her in NYC and Hook reminds her it was a monster she was going to marry. David is horrified that she was going to get married without them knowing and Hook reminds him that “monster” is the bigger issue. Turns out the others that went missing also went missing near the city line.

Emma tells her Dad to take the Merry Men and run a search grid. Emma says she’s going to talk to everyone else in town at once. We see her setting up a Town Hall meeting and Doc Hopper and the others are in a panic. Granny asks if they’re all trapped and Emma says yes. She says she doesn’t know who cast the curse and Grumpy says it has to be Regina. He points a finger at Regina at the back of the room and she tells them she’s just as clueless as the rest of them. They remind her that she’s done this before. Regina tells them if she had done it, she would have her son back. Emma tells her she’s not going near Henry until this gets sorted. She insists again that she’s innocent.

The crowd closes in on her and she tells them if they want the Evil Queen, that’s what they’ll get. She pushes them back with magic, shakes the building and disappears in a puff of smoke. The Wicked Witch sits smiling among the townfolk, all normal looking and enjoying Regina’s plight.

Back in the Enchanted Forest, Robin joins up with Regina and tells her he knows the monkey was coming for her, not his son. He’s coming along to protect her. Robin reminds her that he owes her a debt for saving his son Roland. She says she never knew thieves had honor and he says he didn’t know Evil Queens had soft spots for children. She tells him to stay out of her way.

Emma bursts into Regina’s office and she says she had to make a statement. Turns out, it was a ruse Emma and Regina set up to fool everyone. They agree to get to work to find who really cursed the town – together… They hope to buy some time. Regina has some memory potion – enough to replicate to make enough for everyone in town. She thanks Emma for believing her and Emma says she never doubted her. She says she knows she didn’t do it. They share a little moment.

Under the castle, Regina tells Robin she needs to put a fire out in the courtyard that powers the shield. She tells him to stay out of the way and let her do it. She shows him how to avoid the booby traps in the tunnel. Robin asks if she brought him along to trigger a booby trap for her – he tells her Roland’s mother died and he can’t do without a father. She asks what happened and he says that he put his wife in harm’s way on a job and that cost her life.

Regina sees a door open and says it can’t be open because she sealed it with blood magic. He says that must mean the Wicked Witch is a formidable foe. They go into the room and he sees it’s a crypt. He asks who it’s for and she says her mother. She says she’s lost people too and he asks if she’s lost a child. He tells her he saw how she protected Roland and says she has the touch of a mother. He asks where her son is and she tells him he’s lost to her forever, but not dead. Robin tells her that maybe they should reconsider their plan since the witch is so strong. She says she can’t turn back.

Snow reads a book on babies and is grossed out by cradle cap. Henry plays a video game and she offers to take him down to the library. She tells him she knows he loves reading and he asks how. She tells him Emma told her. He goes to get his jacket and the wicked witch is there and tells her that cradle cap goes away. She tells Snow that she missed the last curse but got swept up in this one. Snow asks who she was and she says no one that she would remember. She says that she wasn’t famous like Snow. She tells her she was a mid-wife and says her name is Zelena . Snow asks if she can ask her some questions and she touches Snow’s belly and tells her it would be the thrill of her life to help Snow White with her baby.

The menfolk are searching the woods and David spotssome blood. It’s Little John and he’s been bitten. They take him back to town for help.

Back in the EF, Regina tells Robin to keep watch. He asks what potion she’s making and he takes aim at her. She chokes him with Jedi powers and they finally call it a draw. She needs the ingredients and he asks why she wanted it and asks if she wanted it for the witch. She tells him she got it got it to use on someone that no one will miss. He realizes she’s planning on using it on herself. Robin says he can’t let her do it and move to stop her. She freezes him to the floor. He tells her he knows how she feels. He says after he lost his wife, he kept living for his son. She tells him she already lost everything she cares about and he tells her she needs to give herself a second chance. He asks if she’s giving up and she says it’s not the end, it’s just a middle where she’ll sleep unless her one true love kisses her and she says that won’t happen. She says she’s going to lower the protection for Snow and Charming, but will then go to sleep.

Regina mixes up memory potion and takes a sip to test it. Emma asks if she remembers and Regina is frustrated because she has nothing left to replicate and it didn’t work. She says living without Henry knowing who she is is the worst outcome. Emma tells her that an old bail bonds trick is to smoke out the person that worked the curse. She says they need to get the word out that they are almost done with the potion. Emma asks who would spread the word around and Regina says that she knows just the person.

Grumpy barges into the diner and plants the seed that they are working on the memory potion. The wicked witch take the bait and rushes out while the others are distracted.

At the hospital, they’re working on Little John when he freaks out and sprouts a tail. He turns into a flying monkey before their eyes. David says he didn’t see that coming. The monkey bashes out a window and takes off. David asks Dr Whale what it was and he says he’s a doctor, not a vet.

Regina and Emma sit in Emma’s bug watching her office. Regina asks if this is what she does for a living and Emma says it’s a stakeout. She asks if she gets bored and Emma says she eats and keeps distracted. Regina asks if Henry has friends in New York and she says he has lots, but no girlfriends yet. Emma says his life was good and she almost didn’t come back because of it. Regina asks why she came back and she says it was what Henry would expect her to do.

They see a shadow in the window and go to see who’s there. Regina magics the door open and says the person couldn’t escape because she sealed it with a blood lock. They find the potion bottles smashed and a shadowy figure there that disappears in a puff of green smoke. Regina is stunned.

Back at the castle, Regina goes to knock out the shield. She reaches into the fire and extinguishes the magical flame. The shield drops and the troops in the forest move on the castle. Regina comes down off the dais and sits on a bench. She says “I’m sorry Henry” and says she hopes one day he may find and wake her. She goes to prick her finger when the wicked witch shows up. She asks why she wan’t going to say hello. She magics away the potion and asks Regina if life has her down.

The witch asks if she doesn’t know who she is. She tells her that her name is Zelena. She tells her that she can have her castle back and didn’t see anything else worthwhile there. She asks how she broke the blood lock and Zelena says she didn’t. She tells Regina that Cora never told her. Regina asks how she knows her Mother and Zelena says she knows her the same way she does – because she’s her sister! OMG – does that make Regina the wicked witch of the East?? Or at least the East Coast?

Zelena tells her she’s her half-sister and Regina tells her it’s not possible since she’s green. Zelena says Cora had her first and asks Regina how else she could have broken the blood magic. She tells her that Cora gave her up and Regina tells her that she’s lucky. Zelena tells her that no one, even her mother, thought she was good enough. Turns out Zelena also knows Rumple and she was his student, too. Zelena tells her anything would have been better than the life she had.

She tells her she made something of herself without them and Regina tells her that Cora and Rumple are both dead. Zelena is surprised but says she’ll make do with Regina and is going to take everything away from her that matters. Regina tells her it’s too late. Zelena says she has a fate worse than death in mind for her and Regina tells her “bring it greenie.” She says she will and then departs on her broom with a “see ya soon sis” as she flies away. Regina comes back to her chambers and finds Robin still stuck there. He asks if she changed her mind and she says she’s found something to live for – someone to destroy!

Emma brings Regina home with her and introduces Henry to her and tells him she’s the mayor and wanted to meet him. He asks if something is wrong and Regina tries to act normal and asks about his school. She says Emma told her a bunch about him and he asks why and she says that his Mom is really
proud of him. She offer to take him on a tour and out for ice cream and he agrees. He offers her a handshake and heads off to bed. Emma asks how it was and Regina says it was okay. Hook and David come back and they all go into the hall. They tell him about the flying monkey transformation.

Regina tells them that they know who it was that cursed them since there is green smoke and flying monkeys. She says “she’s real too?” and Hook reminds her she’s the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.

Zelena goe out back of a house and down into an old bomb shelter to bring food to someone in a cage. It’s Rumple!! He grabs her arm and tells her she never should have brought him back. She tells him to eat up because they’ve got work to do. He take the bowl of rice and he sing-songs “you feed the madness and it feeds on you” then he giggles insanely… Nice, Rumple is back and is bat-shit crazy!

THE END!!
