Tonight on Lifetime, RAISING ASIA airs it’s an all new seventh episode in it’s first season. On tonight’s show, called “Billy’s Last Chance”, it’s Billy’s big chance to prove that he has the chops to take Asia to the next level.
On the last episode Asia was heading to Vegas for her singing and dancing debut at Planet Hollywood. Anthony and Billy nearly came to blows as they continued to jockey for control over Asia’s career. After his missteps with last week’s performance, Billy had to redeem himself in Shawn’s eyes if he wanted to stay on the team…and Anthony was skating on thin ice, as well. Tonight’s episode of Raising Asia begins with Asia rehearsing her son gin the studio with her manager Billy while her parents Kristie and Shawn cheer her on. Shawn can’t believe that Asia “sound legit” and is shocked to see that she has grown up right before his eyes. Shawn says that he needs to catch a plane to Dallas, Billy plays the finished product for Shawn that she will be performing in Las Vegas since Shawn won’t be able to be there.
Kristie and Shawn make the executive decision to let Billy choreograph Asia’s Las Vegas performance. Anthony, her dance instructor is not happy, he has been choreographing for Asia for six years and he doesn’t understand why they are pushing him out and giving Billy all of the power. He pays Kristie a visit at her hotel in Las Vegas to confront her about why he was cut out of this performance. Kristie informs Anthony this is just a trial run to see if Billy can do the choreography.
The next day right before Asia’s performance, Anthony arrives to see her before she goes on stage. He announces that he has some big news, and he talked to Kelly Rowland and she wants Asia to open for her at her next concert in Long Beach. Asia is pumped, considering her ultimate goal is to be Beyonce.
En route to the performance Kristie gets lost and is 40 minutes late, meanwhile Asia pounds candy in the back seat and gets a good sugar buzz. When they arrive at the show, Asia is getting her hair done while Kristie yells at her. Asia has a meltdown and starts sobbing and kicks her mom out of her dressing room. Billy comes in and tries to calm down Asia, he gets everything straightened out and Asia and her mom hug it out.
It’s finally time for Asia to take the stage and sing in front of an audience for the first time. Billy thinks that Asia’s performance was “smashing.” Anthony thinks Asia did good, but he is sick of Billy and Kristie giving her 80’s tracks, and it will only be a matter of time before her entire fan base is Grandmas.
Back home, Shawn returns from Dallas. Asia’s sister Gina fills Shawn in on Asia and Kristie’s feud. While they are eating dinner Shawn lectures Kristie and tells her that from now on when Asia tells her that she needs space, Kristie has to give her space and leave the room.
