The on-screen chemistry between Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence in X-Men: First Class as Magneto and Mystique was undeniable. The National Enquirer is reporting that Lawrence and Fassbender are getting hot and heavy on the sly – at least until Michael Fassbender announces his split from Swedish actress Alicia Vikander.
Reportedly, J-Law had the hots (quite understandably) for Michael Fassbender when the two were making their first X-Men film together but he was dating Zoe Kravitz at the time. Jennifer Lawrence was rumored to have been after the handsome German-Irish actor during filming but held back because he had a girlfriend so their onscreen love making was as far as it went. But when the two worked together on X-Men: Apocalypse, Fassbender was ready to make something happen between the two.
Their timing was flawed again because Jennifer Lawrence was dating Coldplay front man Chris Martin as he was coming off his split with Gwyneth Paltrow. Fassbender was rumored to have broken up Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence so he could hook up with the actress. According to The Enquirer, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence are already coupling up but are keeping it quiet for now because of Alicia Vikander.
But the signs are all there – Alicia Vikander backed out of a project to shoot Assassin’s Creed with supposed BF Michael Fassbender and instead swapped to a Bourne project shooting at the same time. Why would she back out of a project with her sweetie unless they were on the rocks? Could it be because Alicia Vikander caught Michael Fassbender cheating? The two look to be broken up despite no official announcement – Fassbender is notoriously private and may not want to make a big deal of it.
Another sign is that Fassbender and J-Law have been glued to each others sides at promotional events including San Diego’s Comic-Con in July. Plus, they’ve been hanging at non-mandatory events like the recent live reading of The Big Lebowski where the two sat side by side laughing all evening and then posed for photos backstage both wearing bathrobes and smiling looking very coupled up. Add that to Alicia Vikander telling the Belfast Telegraph that she’s working hard so she’ll be “less lonely.”

People Magazine reports that Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence split because the Brit rocker was spending too much time with his ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow. But that may just be a cover story because Chris Martin doesn’t want anyone to know that he was cheated on by J-Law and Michael Fassbender.
Despite the ex-BF and GF drama, the prospect of Magneto and Mystique coupling up is very exciting – as is the idea that their alter-egos may be in a relationship off-screen. Who doesn’t love the idea of Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence together, besides Alicia Vikander of course?
