Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are still going strong, but I’m not sure how much longer than will keep going in the face of FKA’s recent behavior. Even putting aside her blatant famewhoring, it’s starting to get to a point where Rob’s own motives in dating FKA Twigs are being questioned. Is Robert Pattinson actually into this girl, or is he just trying to forget about Kristen Stewart and Twilight by dating the most extreme version of Kristen possible?
Either way, FKA’s managed to land a feature in Vogue Magazine, an interview with Rolling Stones Magazine and The Telegraph, and now a topless cover on V Magazine – all on the strength of her relationship with Robert Pattinson. Forget getting all this on the merit of her music, which would probably have taken her a decade to build on her own – this is all Robert Pattinson and the Twilight effect, where anyone associated with Rob becomes significantly more famous than their talent might suggest.
Of course, it’s only a matter of time before Rob comes to his senses and dumps FKA Twigs, right? Not only has she been using him since day one and orchestrating all their little media situations, but she’s also utilized their handholding and PDA to launch her own PR image. FKA claims that she doesn’t want to be famous, but none of her actions support that – least of all this topless cover for V Magazine.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob broke up with her after seeing her topless cover. It’s one thing to boost her career and publicity using her relationship and private life, and it’s completely another to pose topless for a major magazine.
