Amelia and Owen had a moment last week after the two little boys had brought in because of a shooting. However, she was very clear when Meredith and Maggie later saw the two together that her night with Owen was a one-off. She said she had too much going on and that Owen had too much going on as well. So Amelia felt it would best that she didn’t get herself entangled with Owen again.

But speaking of entanglements, Stephanie later came to the hospital to speak with Amelia about Kyle. Kyle was the musician that had previously gone to Amelia and her surgical team because of a tremor he had been experiencing in his “guitar” hand. So both Amelia and Stephanie had been a part of the surgical team that had gone in and they thought they had fixed the neurological problem. And so Stephanie had also thought it was safe to begin dating Kyle.

The two had amazing chemistry and, after some initial reservations, Stephanie thought it was finally safe to try dating again. And she went on to enjoy herself with Kyle however she soon noticed that he had a new tremor. That was unfortunately in the other hand and that would mean Amelia would have to go back in. So Stephanie had brought Kyle to the hospital and she had informed Amelia about the situation.

Only Stephanie could be the on Kyle’s second surgery because of her relationship with the patient. So that had disappointed Stephanie who felt she should have been allowed to scrub in seeing as she was the one that found the second tremor. Yet, rules were rules and Amelia had to tell her that she couldn’t perform surgery on a loved or on the guy that she’s been sexting for the past couple weeks. And therefore the most Stephanie could do was convince her almost boyfriend that he should just do as the doctor ask.

In the meantime, though, both Callie and Arizona were trying to figure out the best way to talk their friends into representing them during their custody battle. Callie had earlier decided that she wanted to move to New York to be with Penny and made their relationship work yet the two were facing some custodial issues with Arizona. Arizona hadn’t want her daughter Sofia to move to New York and be miles away from her.

So Arizona had tried to talk to Callie about possibly allowing Sofia to stay in Seattle rather than moving and Callie hadn’t liked that idea so Callie had said that she wouldn’t do anything without first talking about. However, that turned out to be a lie. Callie had said that she wouldn’t make a decision until she had Arizona’s say so yet she had already applied to schools out in New York and Arizona had to find out about it after the school called her to discuss the application.

And so that ruined the trust between Arizona and Callie. But they weren’t making things better by going to court. Arizona had hired a lawyer to protect her interest and Callie was ultimately forced to do the same. Only a custody situation meant they needed more than just their word about who would be best the caregiver. So they were trying to round all of their friends to pick a side.

Callie had gone to Meredith and to Alex. Yet, she had chickened out on asking Meredith and Alex had told her no. He said that he liked them both and that he wouldn’t pick a side. Meanwhile Arizona had tried going to April to see if April would at least represent her in court, but she never got the opportunity to ask. Arizona had been performing a routine ultrasound on April when she spotted a flicker that might mean there was something wrong with April’s baby’s brain.

So the reason Arizona never got her opportunity was because April had gotten taken offence that Arizona hadn’t noticed anything wrong with the baby sooner. And so Arizona had then tried to go to Alex yet he had said something to her that he did to Callie. He said that he wouldn’t pick between his friends and unfortunately Penny had overheard him say that to Arizona.

Penny had been on Arizona’s rotation. So Penny had seen Arizona get chewed out by April and get turned down by Alex so Arizona just cracked. She accused Penny of acting as Callie’s spy and that Penny was probably going to run tell her girlfriend how Callie was failing at being a doctor as well as being a mother. And after Arizona finished making a scene, she then ran out into the parking lot to cry.

Luckily Richard later found her there and he did his part to calm Arizona down. Though he told her that if she wanted to keep her daughter then she was going to have to fight for her. Like never before. So that’s what Arizona says she going to do only she wanted to do something first. She wanted to go back to April and give her a definitive answer.

And so Arizona put April under general anesthesia which she hadn’t really wanted to do. But that proved once and for all that there was nothing wrong with the baby. Or its brain. So after Arizona was finished delivering the wonderful news to the happy expecting parents, she then told them that she couldn’t be their doctor anymore.

Arizona said that she had to choose between being their friend or their doctor and that she chose to be their friend. Yet, Callie did eventually getting around to asking her friends Meredith and Owen if they would represent her and they both agreed to do so. And therefore the custody battle was heating up, but Penny for one didn’t feel like she should fan the flames. She had later been asked by Callie if everything had been ok with Arizona and Penny had lied when she said that Arizona hadn’t been awful to her at all.

Although Penny wasn’t the only one to lie. Amelia had said that her night with Owen had been a one-off and Stephanie had tried to claim that she wasn’t serious about Kyle yet they both lied. Stephanie had been worried and desperate to hear anything about Kyle which wasn’t all bad seeing as he had recovered. While Amelia ended up going to Owen’s place after work and it didn’t seem like she was interested in talking.

Only Stephanie went on to break up with Kyle because she said she couldn’t handle being the worried partner out in the waiting room.

And for the first time in a very long time, both Bailey and Ben had seen each other’s side in the argument. So they’ve finally started to make concessions. That would hopefully lead to them putting their argument to rest.

THE END!
