Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abigail (Marci Miller) will face a difficult ordeal. She’ll shove Chad (Billy Flynn) out of the path of a speeding car, but she’ll be unable to avoid taking the hit. Abigail will have serious injuries thanks to this blow. She’ll need surgery ASAP to have any hope of survival.
Next week, DOOL say Chad will refuse to leave the hospital until Abigail pulls through. He knows that Abby is a fighter. She’s certainly been through a lot over the last couple years. Chad will try to have faith that Abigail can make it through this health crisis as well.
Fortunately, Abigail will indeed survive her operation. Days of Our Lives spoilers state that Ron Carlivati, DOOL’s new head writer, has big plans for “Chabby.” They’ll definitely be the pairing to root for moving forward. Of course, it won’t be smooth sailing. Chad and Abigail will still have some obstacles to tackle.
Based on various interviews and buzz we’ve been hearing, it looks like Carlivati will revisit an important problem. Days fans will recall that Abigail struggled with some mental health issues, which led to her faked death. The show later indicated that Abigail was suffering from severe PTSD.
Once Abigail returned, she was clearly fragile. She suffered a few panic attacks, but Days just seemed to drop everything eventually. Chad never even gave Abby’s mental health much thought. He was angry with her for faking her demise when she obviously wasn’t in her right mind. It was Andre’s (Thaao Penghlis) fault for orchestrating it anyway.
Carlivati intends to focus on Abigail’s healing and that could create some interesting possibilities. For starters, Abigail could be Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) killer. Perhaps Chad wasn’t cleaning his own fingerprints off the murder weapon in that picture. He may have been cleaning Abigail’s off instead.
Did Abigail’s PTSD flare up during a faceoff with Deimos? Days of Our Lives buzz hints that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) could be returning to the NBC soap. One of Wilson’s recent tweets appeared to support that idea. Abigail might’ve had a hallucination of Ben while she was on Halo. A showdown with Deimos could’ve triggered that. Will Ben pop up for a flashback sequence down the road?
On the other hand, Ben may escape once more. He might force Abigail to confront her past and truly overcome her fears. Regardless, Chad and Abigail will stick together through the drama. “Chabby” will soon be stronger than ever! We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
