General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) life will change in some big ways down the road.
For starters, Jason will inevitably get out of his current WSB jam and return from the Jakarta black site he’s currently being held at.
Steve Burton will resume filming in June, so it’s time to start thinking about Jason’s eventual homecoming.
Here are three things that need to happen when Jason makes his summer return.
1) Jason needs to focus on being a father
Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) only has one parent left alive since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) suffered a grim fate at Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) hands.
It’s clear that Danny has really been struggling with Jason being out of the picture.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been doing her best to control Danny, but he needs his father’s guidance more than ever.
Once Jason comes home, he needs to step up as a dad. That goes for tough love and sweet bonding with Danny as well.
2) Jason needs less danger in his life
Of course, if Jason is going to be the father Danny deserves, he has to stay safe and free! Jason can’t constantly be landing in situations where he’ll have to go on the run or get taken into custody.
That’s why GH writers might want to dial down the danger for Jason a bit – at least for a while.
It’d be nice to see Jason have a calmer life and actually get to spend some quality time with the people he cares about.
3) Jason needs a real love story again
Jason also needs another chance at love, but fans seem divided on whether he should pick up his romance with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) again.
It’s possible that Jason and Britt will get an opportunity to continue their love story, but it’s equally possible that Jason will wind up dating someone else down the road.
Either way, Jason could use some love in his life and may be able to concentrate on that a little more once this whole mess with Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is over.
