General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) will tell Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) that her father, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), murdered his father, Nikolas Cassadine (then-Nick Stabile) in cold blood, leaving him orphaned with no inheritance. How will Valentin react to his sweet daughter hearing that he is a monster?
GH’s Valentin has always been rumored to be the worst of the worst when it came to the Cassadine family – but through Charlotte’s eyes he has been nothing but a kind and loving father who could do no wrong in her eyes. So when she is devastated by Spencer’s accusations, Valentin is forced to reveal the truth to his daughter and nephew in order to clear his name of Nik’s murder and to redeem himself in Charlotte’s eyes.
General Hospital buzz teases what many GH fans have suspected for a long time: Nikolas Cassadine did not die that night on Cassadine Island in Greece! When Valentin shares this with his daughter, it becomes clear that Nikolas is back in Greece in hiding – but is he there of his own free will or is he being forced to stay there?
Fans of General Hospital know Nikolas escaped Port Charles after faking his death, stealing diamonds from his wife, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). He arrived in Greece before being tracked down by Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Nikolas needed help vanishing and everything points to his falling to his “death” all being part of a bigger scheme between him and his supposedly deranged uncle Valentin.
Nikolas’ resurrection changes everything for several citizens of Port Charles. Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) who is in the midst of a custody battle with Valentin, will have to stop accusing Valentin of being a murderer and thereby unsuitable to care for their daughter. Laura Webber (Genie Francis) will be furious that she has been raising Spencer alone, while his father stayed hidden on purpose.
What does this mean for Ava Jerome (Maura West) and the connection she felt with Nik just before he supposedly died and how will Hayden’s relationship with Finn be affected, since she is still married to Nikolas? Most importantly, Spencer’s telling Charlotte about his dad’s murder opens the door to Nik’s return to General Hospital.
