Ian Somerhalder’s Hollywood career might be in jeopardy and that’s because ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actor has no future projects in the pipeline. Ian has basically been unemployed ever since ‘The Vampire Diaries’ ended back in March.
Right now, no one knows what’s next for Ian Somerhalder. Does he plan on living off his ‘The Vampire Diaries’ royalties? Or will his wife Nikki Reed become their family’s new breadwinner with her new sustainable clothing line, Bayou With Love? There are plenty of possibilities but Ian has remained relatively quiet about his career. Instead, he’s spent the last few months gushing about his wife Nikki and staying active on social media.
Either way, this might signal the beginning of the end to Ian’s Hollywood career. He certainly doesn’t want to become another forgotten actor in the entertainment industry, but at the same time he’s not getting any phone calls from Hollywood.
As far as his former ‘The Vampire Diaries’ co-stars, at least they are working or looking for work. Ian’s ex-girlfriend Nina has a few films lined up and is also modeling for big name brands like Reebok and Donna Karan New York.
Kat Graham has two films lined up, including, ‘Where the Money’ and “All Eyez on Me’ with Jada Pinkett Smith. Yet, Ian’s good pal Paul Wesley is in the same boat. He has absolutely no projects planned for the future, meaning that his acting career is heading no where, too.
Ian has made it no secret that he wants to continue working. Back in December, he told media reporters that he plans on working as producer in Hollywood and that he and Nikki actually have a deal with Warner Bros TV to develop new projects. It’s been six months since he’s made the announcement though and he’s yet to start on anything.
So far Ian hasn’t made any comments about his future plans. Even though he’s hinted that he would either love to produce or direct films, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Of course, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have anything to look forward to at all: Ian and Nikki are expecting their first child together. I
