The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s return is sure to shake things up. Many Y&R fans have been begging for Adam ever since Justin Hartley left the show. The Young and the Restless pulled off a successful recast with Hartley, so there’s no reason they can’t do it again. As CDL has reported, Adam Newman is alive and returning to Y&R, according to Jamey Giddens.
It shouldn’t take them long to find a suitable Adam and buzz is that they might already have with Jason Gerhardt. Of course, this comeback would spark some intense emotions. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) would be over the moon, but it would create some issues since she’s currently dating Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Victor (Eric Braeden) would undoubtedly be thrilled. He’d have his son back and he’d be able to make amends with his family. Scott (Daniel Hall) might play a role in discovering Adam and making this return possible. He could also find out some buried secrets involving Adam’s past.
At the moment, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is stuck in a love triangle with Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle). She intends on doing whatever it takes to keep Billy, but she may have bigger problems down the road. The Young and the Restless viewers recall that Phyllis once kidnapped Adam to score some leverage. She was trying to make sure things went her way during the PassKey storyline.
Will the truth about Phyllis’ actions finally come out? Let’s say Scott gets a hunch that Adam is alive. He might dig into Adam’s backstory in hopes of finding a clue. Scott would probably think it was a longshot, but he could explore his theory anyway.
During Scott’s quest for answers, he might stumble across evidence that points to Phyllis’ kidnapping incident. Once Scott confronted Phyllis, she might convince him to stay quiet. However, eavesdropping is quite common on the CBS soap. Victoria could be lurking nearby.
The Young and the Restless fans realize how desperate Victoria is to get Billy back. Maybe Billy will eventually offer a blunt rejection. He could tell his ex that they’re through for good. A vengeful Victoria would be incredibly dangerous. Victor Newman’s daughter knows how to play dirty! She might even record Phyllis’ confession.
Could Victoria take the info to Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and expose Phyllis’ dark secret? Paul (Doug Davidson) might make an arrest and send “Philly” into turmoil. Luckily, Adam’s return could help Phyllis out. After everything he’s been through, that little kidnapping is nothing. Adam would likely put a stop to the prosecution.
