Lindsay’s Trial is a GO!

Trouble magnet Lindsay Lohan may have dodged a bullet recently when a California court opted not to pursue felony charges stemming from her arrests earlier this summer for DUI and cocaine possession, but yesterday a judge in L.A. decided not to be so lenient on the young star, giving the go-ahead for a lawsuit that dates back to an auto accident in October 2005.

According to the Calfornia Highway Patrol, the plaintiff in the case, Raymundo Ortega, was making an illegal U-turn when his car was allegedly struck by Lohan’s oncoming vehicle. In spite of this, Ortega is still seeking $200,000 in damages from Lohan, who sustained minor injuries in the crash. Lohan’s attornies had been arguing that the case had insufficient merit to continue, but Judge Michael L. Stern rejected their motion and set a trial date for April 7, 2008.? Source
