Michael Jackson is not married, but he is planning to get married.
A source said Michael’s? lawyers have contacted Rwaramba’s husband Stacey Adair, the man she wed on Feb. 26, 1995, in Las Vegas to determine the legal status of the couple’s failed marriage. The couple filed for divorce in October 2001 in Los Angeles, court documents show, but the final outcome appears to be in dispute.
“I can confirm [the divorce] was never completed,” the source said. “Jackson’s lawyers were looking into it. It seems that even though [Rwaramba and Adair] didn’t make an appearance to finish the divorce, under California law, there might be a default provision…. That’s what his lawyers are researching.”
According to the Enquirer,? he believes a marriage to Rwaramba, 40, will help convince a suspicious public that he’s raising his three kids – Prince, 10, Paris, 9, and Blanket, 5 – in a stable family environment.
“Grace was happy to go along with it,” a source told the Enquirer. “She’s always been devoted to Michael and has raised the kids since the day they were born.”
