Some people have claimed that Tiger Woods has been unfairly and prematurely judged by the media – well these same stalwart supporters of the Tiger can now add the US Congress to their list of people unfairly hard on Tiger… . Rep. Joe Baca, D-California has decided to withdraw his support for Tiger receiving the Congressional Gold Medal. No other representative has stepped forth to take up the fight for Woods in Baca’s place – no surprise here.
It continues to amaze me that someone who lived under as intense a spotlight as Tiger Woods thought he could continue fooling around with mistresses and not get caught. My wife suggests that Tiger believed that he was invulnerable, that nothing could touch him, that he could do anything he liked and that nobody could or would stop him. It is almost like Tiger was possessed by a twisted sense of narcissism – one that we see in certain other big celebrities like Lindsay Lohan. In any case, the downfall of Tiger Woods carries with it a warning for all: hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
