Rihanna’s style caught everyone’s attention at the London premiere of ‘Inglourious Basterds’ on Thursday, but not her secret date for the evening – Kanye West protégé Ben Hudson.
It’s no mean feat going on a secret date at a red-carpet film premiere but Rihanna managed to pull it off… well, almost. Her rumored new beau Pharrell Williams had only just left town, so Ri was paranoid about being seen together with her hush-hush.
Hudson was introduced to Rihanna when he was recording in America by Kanye; the two have kept in touch since then, reports UK’s Mirror. Rihanna, 21, didn’t walk the red carpet with Hudson and gave no prior intimation that she would be accompanied by him. However, she declined Mickey Rourke’s offer to be her date for the evening.
"Rihanna didn’t want to make a big song and dance about going on a date with Mr Hudson, so she never told anyone she was bringing him until they got there. "They have been meeting up secretly, and on the red carpet they refused to be pictured together. Once Ri and Mr Hudson were inside the cinema though they were stuck together like glue and then they both slipped out the door at the end to go for a meal at Cipriani," a source told Mirror.
