The father of Amber Portwood’s baby, Gary Shirley, helped to cover up an assault incident that took place a couple of weeks back.
According to the recording we have, Gary is explaining to his other girlfriend, a lucky woman named Ashley, that all she has to do is tell reporters “No comment, no comment, no comment” and he adds “every time they leave you alone.”
During the call, Gary admits, “Amber “f**king hit me.” You can also hear Gary whisper to a friend in the room that Ashley didn’t actually see Amber hit him as she was outside waiting in a car. I guess Gary does not realize that the telephone is not exactly a secure or private means of communication, at least not with Ashley!
Gary also promises Ashley that “Maybe one day we can start a family.” You can only imagine what a prize this Ashley must be.
While Amber Portwood is the demented poster girl for trailer trash, Gary Shirley serves as poster boy for the same group. Together they represent the low point so far in American TV, and that is pretty low.
