Christy Martin the 42-year-old female boxing legend has been shot and stabbed by her husband and yet managed to stagger to the road and flag down a passing motorist who drove her to a nearby hospital. Christy, who is in serious condition managed to tell police that her assailant was James Martin, her 66 year-old husband and former trainer.
Police are searching for James now. Christy was on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1996 and fought on the undercard of Mike Tyson once. Celebs like promoter Don King sent his best wishes and prayers.
