Star-studded Event including Joe Frazier, Red Carpet Gala for Charity

SIZZLING, DYNAMIC, GENEROUS, PATRIOTIC, TALENTED AND BEAUTIFUL are just some of the adjectives used to describe singer/dancer/modelDoreen Taylor.

That’s why former world heavyweight boxing champion, Joe Frazier, and 350 VIP’s will be in attendance for the "Coming Home-Doreen Taylor" Red Carpet event. The "Invitation- Only" gala at "Trust" in Philadelphia on February 26th will be the world launch for Doreen Taylor’s new book and CD which pay tribute to the WWII era.

"With two grandfathers that served in the U. S. military and more soldiers being deployed overseas, I felt that today’s soldiers and their families deserved some help," stated Taylor.

Accordingly, the new project includes 19 songs, all sung by Taylor and all from the 20s, 30s, and 40s. In order to pick out the songs, Taylor admittedly sought some help. "I asked my grandmother what the songs of the day were, and we found a super studio with outstanding musicians to perform them. All I had to do was lay down my vocal tracks."

There’s also a 32-page book, in which model Taylor strikes slightly provocative poses and dons costumes reminiscent of the pinup girls to whom WWII soldiers swooned.

A large percentage of the book/CD profits will be donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), a top-rated nonprofit that supports more than 60,000 Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps special operations personnel and their families. One-hundred percent of all charitable donations from the event on Friday, February 26th will be donated directly to the cause. (www.specialops.org.)  Pennsylvania Senator Lawrence Farnese will personally present the charity with a special citation.
