Jennifer Lyon, who placed fourth on "Survivor: Palau" in 2005, died at her home in Oregon Tuesday night at 37 years of age. She died from complications due to breast cancer. She had breast implants some time before she first detected an abnormality in her right breast in 2004. She ignored what she felt since she thought it was probably scar tissue related to the breast implants. Sadly, she was wrong and by the time she got seriously concerned with the problem and sought medical attention it was too late.
Learn from her tragedy – if you ever detect any abnormality or experience an unexplained pain or symptom then get it checked out – its probably nothing but in the rare cases you will have alerted doctors and yourself to disease at the earliest possible stage and this provides you with the greatest possibility for survival.
