Cancer Survivor Peggie Sherry wins eBay’s Every Mom’s a Hero Contest

It’s hard enough to battle breast cancer and win once, but Peggie Sherry a mother of two children, had to do it twice and survived!  For her “never give up attitude” when battling cancer to her countless hours helping those battling life threatening blood disorders and cancer, and still being a mom, Sherry was nominated by her daughter in eBay’s “Every Mom’s a Hero Contest” and won first place.

eBay’s “Every Mom’s a Hero” contest was launched in order to celebrate and acknowledge extraordinary mothers for Mother’s Day. The contest was filled with different heroic moms from all over the country, but Sherry’s story won the hearts of the judges.

For winning eBay’s “Every Mom’s A Hero” contest she will receive a weekend for two at Miraval Resort and Spa in Tucson, AZ; a package valued at $10,000.00

Sherry’s passion is still helping those who suffer from cancer and blood disorders.  She continues to work at her foundation “Faces of Courage Foundation, Inc” which provides life enriching experiences to kids, women and families touched by cancer and blood disorders.

She also is the creator of two powerful photographic series called “The Celebration Gallery” (2010), and “Breast Cancer Gallery“ (2007) which portray cancer survivors and their stories in an artistic and unique way.
