Dr. Conrad Murray’s Prosecutor Wants The Maximum Sentence

Dr. Conrad Murray's Prosecutor Wants The Maximum Sentence

Dr. Conrad Murray is facing an angry prosecutor who is seeking to get the maximum for Dr. Murray when he is sentenced next Tuesday – for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

The Los Angeles District Attorney filed documents today with Judge Michael Pastor and it doesn’t look like leniency was on their minds. The prosecutor will ask Judge Pastor to sentence Dr. Murray the maximum 4 years in State Prison.

Californian law states that even if Dr. Murray is given the maximum sentence by Judge Pastor, he will only serve a maximum of two years in L.A. County Jail, not state prison, and could be eligible to sit out the punishment under house arrest.

Dr. Murray’s lawyers, Mike Flanagan and Ed Chernoff, will push for probation on the grounds that the doc has no criminal history and has been a model citizen and good doctor throughout his professional life. The lawyers are currently said to be getting statements from his former patients in order to demonstrate his commitment to medicine.

What we ask is that Dr. Murray never be allowed to practice medicine again – he behaved as a greedy pandering drug dealer and has lost the moral right to be a medical doctor.
