Janet Jackson has struggled with her weight over the years trying to avoid being too plump – but she admits it’s sometimes an uphill battle. Janet has tried several different methods to deal with her fluctuating weight and told US Weekly: “It’s been a difficult couple of years. And then I’ve been very, very busy on top of that.”
“I have little ways to go to get healthy and to feel the best that I know I can feel. I know I’m on my way to success.”
Janet has the same problem as many people in that she eats as a compensation for her emotional problems. When she is feeling upset or stressed she turns to food because she sees it as her “comfort place.” Janet needs to learn to be a little less comfortable – or how to avoid stress… .
Janet said: “My weight is something I’ve dealt with all my life, and it’s been an issue for me. People can relate to me because I have lived it. I truly understand what it’s like to have a problem with weight loss, losing too much weight or gaining more than you desire to and becoming unhealthy.”
“When I’m down or really stressed, I eat because that’s my comfort place. I’ve had a problem with my body image. So that’s why it’s really, really important to get to where you really feel comfortable. You need to look at yourself and say, ‘I like this, I feel good about this. I feel healthy, I feel strong, and this is where I want to be.'”
Janet blamed the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of her brother Michael Jackson, for inducing loads of stress that affected her weight. Now that the trial is over hopefully Janet can get her weight under control.
