Jaycee Lee Dugard was held captive and used a sex slave for more than 18 years by Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy. The poor woman was impregnated by Phillip during one of his rapes of Jaycee and the then 14-year-old came to term and gave birth while a captive in the Garrido’s backyard.
Jaycee understandably broke down in tears recalling how she dealt with the pain and trauma of giving birth at 14 years of age. “It was very painful and then I saw her,” said Jaycee, now 31, about her daughter, now 17.” “She was beautiful, I felt like I wasn’t alone any more.”
“I had somebody that was mine and I knew I could never let anything happen to her. I didn’t know how I was going to do that but I did.”
Jaycee later had another child with Phillip Garrido, who kidnapped her when she was just 11 in California and kept her prisoner in a compound in his garden. She was finally rescued in 2009. Garrido, 58, was jailed for 431 years for raping and kidnapping her. His wife Nancy, 54, got 36 years.
