Lindsay Lohan did not fail to comply with her court-ordered therapy requirements while she was doing the fashion circuit in Paris last month. Instead she relied on the telephone to speak with her therapist and therefore took her medicine like a good girl.
Of course Lindsay made sure in advance that telephone talk was acceptable to her probation officer before she flew to Paris for a much-needed professional engagement modelling. After all, two weeks away for an entertainer seems very reasonable if she can keep up with her therapy by phone. The court’s aim was not to prevent Lindsay from working – at least we hope that it wasn’t.
Lindsay says that both her therapist and probation officer gave their approval for her to engage in the mandated therapy sessions by telephone and she did. Judge Sautner had made it clear to Lindsay that the consequences of skipping any of her therapy sessions would be dire – her probation would be violated and she could be locked up.
Lindsay is getting the feeling that someone in the probation department is out to get her since she is positive that all her probation requirements are being met perfectly. The last thing Lindsay or anyone else needs is for a frustrated law enforcement institution to decide to make an example of her. Lindsay’s real crimes, if any, are insignificant – and the only real threat she has ever posed is to herself.
TMZ says that Lindsay “can’t wait” to go to court on Wednesday to tell her side of the story.
